If anyone thinks I'm surprised by D'Angelo Russell evolving into an all-star, you need only to see my supremely sarcastic post back in 2016:

Tragic that the 20 year old had his career cut short by hackers leaking the video he took of Nick Young during their prank war. Really a shame. He could have been a pretty good player. Sad it's over. It's a shame his teammate Kobe Bryant couldn't give him some sage advice about salvaging a career after a rape trial. Unfortunately, it's much easier to come back from rape allegations/pubically cheating on your wife than it is coming back from a leaked snap chat video that allegedly broke a bro code. I wonder if he can get a fresh start in China like Stephon Marbury. "
