I'm thoroughly unimpressed with Mitchell. He's a mix of Monte Ellis and Gilbert Arenas. If he's not getting up 20-25 shots a game, he doesn't know how to play with other guys.

He's been pretty bad so far for team USA. He isn't taking horrible shots, but he's taking shots that don't seem in the rhythm of the team offense. He's not really making many defensive plays even though he is the most athletic player on the floor and that was a supposed area of strength.

Interesting. I was super impressed by him as a rookie. But I didn’t see him play a whole game last year. Reading your description of his play sounds like exactly like how Tatum plays ( to me). He’s a Celtic so I’m rooting for him but ( IMO) he’s a very selfish player.

Kinda', they play two different positions. Tatum should a finisher that develops his game as a facilitator. Mitchell is an inefficient finisher playing a position that requires facilitation, but he doesn't do it.
