saw this on the realgm forums....

Quote
Bucher said that Dwight will be pursuing legal action against the Magic for broken promises and is looking to get his opt-in rescinded. Orlando is arguably doing as much damage to their own rep as Dwight is to his  .

for the people asking for a link, he said it on ESPN SportCenter between 4pm and 5 pm(only remember because NFL Live was airing on ESPN) after saying the dwight to the nets deal was dead on ESPN2.

if this is true Dwight is the biggest dope ever. What a chump . I am going to sue you because you made a promise and I was dumb enough to opt in.

I really am starting to hate this guy

That's nuts. Hope he got it in writing, I know Orlando did.

I used to be a fan and want him in Boston, but I am now very glad that hasn't happened.  He needs to grow up and/or get better representation.  He was an idiot to get rid of his opt out.

There is nothing about it on twitter, which I find fishy

Good for Orlando! They played his butt just like he playing them. Even Lebron played the game better than Dwight, at least he kept quiet & made people think he might stay home or go to the Knicks. Dwight gave his organization no hope of staying then got injured which screwed the franchise in the playoffs when it could of been tanking to get a better replacement. So I say to you Mr. Howard find yourself a new destination & open up your options because Darren Williams isn't walking through that door! Joe Johnson isn't walking through that door. Lol

I guess this furthermore proves the theory that loyalty is in fact extremely rare among star athletes in today's sports. Very grateful to have stand-up guys like Pierce (even though he did gripe a bit before the big 3 era) and KG in this organization.

Ric Bucher reported this, huh?

Well, looks like Dwight Howard has never thought about suing the organization.

I remember hearing something about it awhile ago but they were saying that it would immediatly get thrown out of any courtroom so there was no reason in pursuing it.

Dwight has just become an indiot in my book. No Honor, He shouldnt of signed a deal for even 1 more year, it was just stupid and it has got him no where except half the people in the league hating him. Hell, i reckon half the fans in Orlando probably hate him by now

Bucher is about to be on my radio feed, so we'll see if he says it.

Yeah because they get billable hours going towards one of the more frivolous lawsuits in the history of sports. Dwight would get better results by taking a sack of money and burning it to keep warm at night.

Bucher is now making the case very hard that Brooklyn had "by far" the best offer, clearing "all that cap space". I thought there wasn't all that much cap savings.

I thought they were only getting rid of Richardson's deal other than Howard.

Bucher didn't mention any potential lawsuits during his interview on ESPN radio just now during a pretty long interview.
