An update:

I received an e-mail today entitled

CONGRATULATIONS FROM BOSTON COLLEGE LAW SCHOOL

I've been accepted, which was a surprise this late in the game.  :)  Still have yet to hear back from Cornell, UPenn, and Columbia, but I'd be shocked if I got any better than wait-listed at any of those schools.

I'm excited that I got in somewhere, though.  BC is definitely a good school.

Congrats, Now remember what I told you, hunker down.  Dont fall for the BS everyone tells you first year.  Focus, get good grades, get a good summer job, dont get into the politics of law school.

True story: I graduated from law school with a guy who I used to play bball with in Malibu overlooking the beautiful Pacific Ocean.  He got a first year summer internship with the Seattle Supersonics (he was from Seattle), now he is the GM of the Portland Trailblazers.  Look it up, Rich Cho.  Pepperdine Law grad, great guy, pretty good bball player outside of no left hand, and current GM of Portland.

So it does happen if you work for it.
