I may have just made the first controversial pick of the Draft.

I love that I got KAT though. Not a lot of Centers today can do what he does.
I was debating between Paul George, and KAT at 11. Couldn't decide, so I wanted to move back.

Before the draft, I thought Draymond Green would be one of the most fun players to build a team around. Such a team player. Does all the things that make life easier for everyone around him. Great opportunity to build a fun team that plays tough defense and shares the ball.

I think OKC will be one of the top teams in this CB League.

Thoughts on the Paul George selection? I actually really wanted him at 8.

After one pick? I may not agree, but I still like that you're giving Dray the Michael Jordan treatment.

He's great, can defend, shoot the heck out of the ball and create his own shot.

Last year their offense struggled because he had to create everything for them. This year I think playing at an uptempo pace with faster players will set him to score much more easily.

Its great value at #11 to get not only a franchise player, but a potential LeBron "stopper".

Good value pick.

I seriously considered KAT at #9, but I thought Boogie was a safer choice.

Agree. I would've had a hard time passing over Cousins for Towns. When he's dialed in, he's the tougher cover. But it's an interesting question. Demarcus will also waste a lot more possessions.

I love that people are digging the KAT pick.

There's someone there on the top of my board before him, but I could not resist him being a Center, a position where there's not a lot of talent that can be effective in both ends of the floor.

Speaking of which. I wonder where that guy I debated taking at #12 ends up. He's dropping mightily.

Edit: He got picked. I debated between Dame or KAT.

I was bored a week or two ago and excited for this CB draft so I did a couple of mocks for fun of 3-4 rounds each time and every time Draymond Green's team was one of the top teams.

Draymond Green was just a very easy player to put other players alongside and have things work at a high level. To build a strong defensive team. To build a good passing team. To build a team that fits together.

That plus Nick being a good drafter is why I would bet on OKC being one of the top teams.

Some other players were more talented but I found were more difficult to build around.

I rank him a step below "franchise." That 42.5% FG% and falling is tough. Still it's a great get.

I love KAT, he's gonna be a top 5 player in the next few years. I considered him back when I had the 8th pick, but didn't feel like going the TOFT route. Still though, heck of a guy to build a team around.

The Sacramento Kings select Damian Lillard

Lillard and Kawhi is a sick duo that compliment each other perfectly. I'm interested to see the pieces you put around them

Sort of does, but here's my little concern.

The next SacTo is the 4th round, right? There are some good depth pieces there, but will it be good enough to compliment these two?

Lillard's probably not even the best PG available, but I loved, LOVED, how he stepped into the leadership role in Portland this past season. One of those rare guys that welcomes the pressures of being a cornerstone, along with the recognition and the paycheck.
