I don't really blame them.
Think about it, in a normal season these players spend all but a handful of months having basically their entire schedule dictated by their team. They're travelling constantly, training, practicing, etc, so they don't have much time at all for their families.
They just spent several months in a bubble, during most of which they were cut off entirely from their families and friends. Now they're being told that they have basically two months to rest, recuperate, and have unstructured time with the people they care about before it all starts up again? And COVID is still a hazard, probably more so than before since it won't be a bubble this time?
That said, I'm fine if the Lakers take the first two months of the season off and try to make up the deficit in their record the rest of the way .....
