ESPN Sources: Nick Nurse has reached an agreement to become the next coach of the Philadelphia 76ers. Nurse — who won an NBA championship and a coach of year award with Toronto — now gets to coach the 2023 MVP Joel Embiid.

Not sure why the lovefest for Nurse. He's a pretty mediocre coach who was gifted the greatest player his rookie season. He's been downhill since.

He runs terrible offensive sets maybe even worse than Doc. This hire is great in my opinion because there isnt a lot of upside to Nurse.

I'm with Chilly on this one.  I don't understand the love for Nurse or frankly Williams.  At least Williams overachieved for a bit, Nurse has led Toronto to progressively worse seasons with no development from Barnes.  Just another mediocre coach for the Sixers to blame in a couple of seasons when they flame out again because of failed GMing.
