2-min report says Horford's foul on Butler occurred at 3.0 AND he was attempting 3-pointer although it appeared he wasn't in shooting motion at 3.0. Report says Vincent fouled Tatum on jumper with 33.5 left & Martin committed a lane violation on Brown FT at 1:01. #Celtics #Heat

Here's the link to the report if anyone wants to read more:

For me, the double dribble ruling is a joke:
Quote
Butler (MIA) fumbles the ball out of his control when he ends his dribble, then recovers it and legally attempts a field goal.
So as long as you look like you lose control, any dribbling violation is fine? Good to know
Yeah, based on the video angle they chose to accompany the ruling I can understand it, but we've all seen the baseline footage. It was a double dribble.

Also, it's worth noting that the two 'incorrect no-calls' that are listed would have both benefited the Celtics, as well.
Man had always assumed that he was more intelligent than dolphins because he had achieved so much—the wheel, New York, wars and so on—whilst all the dolphins had ever done was muck about in the water having a good time.

But conversely, the dolphins had always believed that they were far more intelligent than man—for precisely the same reasons.

It was the textbook definition of a double dribble. The NBA just couldn't bring themselves to admit they missed it on such a high profile play. If it was against the Lakers, they'd issue endless formal apologies talking about sleepless night and probably have a pregame special dedicated to it.

I'm still laughing that that even happened. Like seriously, "sleepless nights"?? Yeah I'm sure Scott Foster is really losing sleep over things like that  ::)

the L2M report was released and the nba admitted it missed two calls that would have favored the C’s:

1) a missed lane violation by caleb martin on a free throw JB missed with 1:01 remaining in the fourth quarter.

2) a foul on JT by gabe vincent on a drive to the basket with 33.5 seconds remaining.

however, they doubled down on the butler double dribble by claiming it was a legal play. ::)

it also confirmed joe’s challenge gave the NBA the ability to look at the entire play, in which Horford's foul occurred with three seconds to go, adding an additional nine-tenths of a second to the clock.

Give Joe credit. He forced them to look at the time and it was a great call.

Celtics could have been up a basket if they call those for them. would have been 105-103 even after the Butler BS.

One thing still bothering me about game 6 is that our ball movement was downright awful. The Heat managed to kill our passing and take away our three point game. If it wasn't for all the points we got off of forced turnovers we would have been done. We need to make adjustments to get our offense back on track for game 7.

We saw Spoelstra's hand with benching Love and inserting Martin into the starting 5. Now it's our turn to adjust and put them away tomorrow.

Well I wouldn't go as far as giving Joe credit as he challenged the foul and was hoping for a non call. As it turns out the 2 shot foul turned into a 3 shot foul which could have been the end of us if we didn't get the miracle ending. Because he challenged the foul then time got put on the clock but we know he wasn't challenging to get more time. A 2 shot foul with 2.1 left on clock for tie game is normally a better option than down one with 3 seconds left.

The NBA stated the refs were reviewing to see if it was a 3 shot foul no matter what, but couldn't review the time remaining unless the Celtics asked for a challenge. Joe gets credit for this.
