Bill Russell threw out the first pitch tonight, Yankees vs Mariners in Seattle

Standing ovation for 3 minutes easy. I was 8 rows up between home and Mariners dugout. He threw it no more than 25 feet and it skipped the rest of the way. Raised his arms up in dismay laughing.

Thought everyone would want to know that here he gets a very big show of appreciation. Everyone was on their feet. He has lived here for years after coaching and his wife passed away I think within 18 months.
The Mariners won. They are on the verge of big things here, incredibly loaded with young, truly stud pitchers
