Yeah, Fuentes sucks big time.  There's no denying how good A-rod has been this post-season; I guess he was finally due, huh?

It was bound to happen eventually ... especially after the way he ended the regular season, (though I was hoping the drought would continue). I have almost as much trouble swallowing A-Rod's success as I do Kobe's ... he's kind of like the "Kobe of Baseball" for me ... ugh! ;)

Ugh.  Isn't playoff baseball supposed to showcase great baseball?  What a stupid, stupid play.

So glad I woke up from my 5-11p siesta for this.

Maicer Izturis, great decision-making.

Also, Ken Rosenthal with a legendary job of asking inane questions in the aftermath of that one.

You have a way of always making me smile, Steve ... isn't "Rosenthal" the definition of "inane"? (If not, it should be!) ;)

I'm sad I'm going to miss the first portion of the game today.

Can either the Phillies or Dodgers stop the Yanks?  It's looking a little inevitable right now, unfortunately enough.

The Phillies can, they have the sluggers to do it. The Dodgers would get murdered though.

This fact from Jason Stark really surprised me:

Quote
[Cliff] Lee became the first pitcher in history to spin off eight innings of no-run, no-walk, double-figure-strikeout baseball on the resplendent postseason stage.

Really?  Can that be true?  No other pitcher had ever had an 8+ inning, 0 runs, 0 walks, 10+ strikeout game in the playoffs before?  I'm sure it's the "0 walks" thing that was the disqualifier for many, but I was definitely a little shocked.

I bet he's right, who knows what the endpoints did to that sample though. I hate it when commentators do stuff with silly stats by picking arbitrary endpoints.
