great deal for the Jazz. I really hope it works out for big Al's sake, he deserves to play on a good team for once.

I'd love to get Big Al back but if we can't I hope he ends up in Utah. Deron Williams is a great PG and they could do very well together.

Pretty cool. As a basketball fan we will most likely see Al reach his potential with a point guard like Williams. Big Al gets Williams AND Jerry Sloan. Huge for him.

as much as i like big al, he has two main flaws.....injury prone and he is a terrible defender.  he would be really good for us coming off the bench tho!

Actually, we can't.

This is a good move for Al Jefferson.  He goes to a team that always seems to put a quality product on the floor, with an All Star PG.

It's an interesting move for the Jazz.  It pretty much means they won't match the Blazers' offer to Wesley Matthews (which is a good thing).  It also means Al will start at Center, since Okur and Millsap are at the PF.  I think that is out of position for Al, but the Jazz probably figured that they were able to get an ALl Star quality player for a good deal, so they jumped at the oppty.
Celtics fan for life.

Nice addition. Utah has to bring in a good defensive big man to play alongside him though.

So Utah stays about even with losing Boozer?

Utah has needed a better defensive big man for a very long time, I have little faith they'll be able to acquire one now.

A lot depends on Big Al's health.

He needs to get his rebounding back up (Boozer averaged two more rebounds per game in only two extra minutes) and improve his scoring efficiency (Boozer had a TS% of 60% while Al was at 52%).

If Al can get his rebounding back in order + his scoring efficiency up to 55% or so, that would limit the damage.

However, if he can't, it's a pretty big talent downgrade (Boozer to Al) for the Jazz.

I'd like to see Utah try to trade Kirilenko for Sam Dalembert.

Hmm, I think that could happen. Though since both are expiring I'm not sure what the Kings (that's where Sammy is now right?) would be interested.
