Well the Christmas game is hot because of TV and Christmas and its the C's and the Lakers.  This is a no-brainer.

But, if you're asking which game poses the biggest threat to The Streak - its definitely the Warrior game.

How does a sub-500 warriors team pose a bigger threat to the streak than the best team in the West, our bitter rivals who are at full, hungry for revenge with something to prove on national TV on one of the biggest holidays of the year?

I don't get it.
God bless and good night!

  • So what if we don't win 73 - the ring's the thing
I mean, I think KG is part cyborg, but even his batteries have to run low at some time don't they?

I laughed at that, but then I wondered... if a cyborg is defined as being part man and part machine, how is one part cyborg?  Is that like 50% man... and 50% manmachine?  I don't get it.

Haha - good point. Let's say he's 75% man, 25% machine.

I hope we beat the Fakers by 20+. I am really sick of how much the rest of the country loves the Lakers not including Los Angeles itself. Fan Night seems to have Lakers every week. I know sports fans in general tend to hate Boston teams but it's disgusting the number of Laker fans. We need to and probably will crush them. Can't wait!!!  ;D

I'm predicting a 20-point win in both games.  Kobe and Gasol are playing well, Sasha, Bynum, and Lamar terrible.  Now Farmar is out, so they don't have anyone at pg but Fisher.

Another bumper crop of layups for Rondo!

Well... I see my attempts for sarcasm with starting this post were futile at best.... sorry!

Now Farmar is out

More excuse fodder for when they get spanked.  Gotta love it.
God bless and good night!

Let's not read any of the degrading Lakers Forum threads discussing the game!  ;D

Phil Jackson has already jumped on the excuse train, publicly complaining about the schedule.  He was mad that the Lakers had to play 4 games in 5 nights, finishing with the Celtics on Christmas.  For one thing, he's wrong.  It's 4 games in 6 nights.  And also, I'm sure the Celtics would welcome trading places with the Lakers schedule and being able to spend Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and all througout New Years at home instead of having to fly out to LA Christmas Eve and not make it back home until New Years Eve.

BTW, the last time the Celtics had a 4 games in 6 nights tour, they went 4-0.  Suck it up Philly boy.

Hypothetically, we would be sad with a Celtics loss to the Lakers. Realistically, Stuart Scott might actually cry in the post game analysis when his team is again drubbed by the green.

Well, the Celtics and Lakers only meet twice a year so those games get the hype due to the historical nature of the rivalry - Wilt Chamberlain vs Bill Russell; Jerry West vs John Havlicek; Magic vs Bird; and now Kobe vs the Truth.

A lot of the football fans do not have anything to do on Christmas Day so they get a diversion by watching the NBA.

I like our chances to win Thursday but it is not a must win game for us.

This alone is reason enough for us to win big Thursday.
Never underestimate the predictability of stupidity...

Well, I missed my prediction by 1 point, only a 19-pt win over the Sixers.

Laker fans fires have been stoked by their win over the Hornets, it seems they have real short memories!
