Want to here a nickname that sticks.

No Longer the Big 3.

More Like the Big 5 Now.

To bad C-web and Jalen took the Fab 5.

This is amazing. Who expected Perk and Rondo to step up this much

The Starting Five Deserves a sweet knickname

Rondo/Perk and some of our other young guys will be the reason we have a bigger window than 2 or 3 seasons.

The rest of the world might think the Lakers are primed for a dynasty, but they have to get past the Celtics first.

I never understood this dynasty crap with the present Lakers.  Their window is not longer than the Celtics.  People forget that their best player, Kobe, is the same age as Pierce but with more miles on him.  Now when Pierce and Kobe retire, what all-star or potential all-stars are left on the Lakers?  Bynum? Possibly, but right now he's looking like a slacker that just got a fat contract.  We at least have Rondo and a very good young defensive center in Perk.  Personally, I don't see a dynasty with either team.

How about the "The Starting five," you know like, "The Ohio State University," as said by players in their intro to an NFL game.

all these nickname threads are starting to get out of hand and redundant.

they are the celtics, no need for any "cute" little nicknames that will never stick anyway

"The Big 3" has already stuck with them and I like it actually.  What I do hate is how the media is now using "the Big 3" for any team with 3 good players, even though most are not good enough to be called "The Big 3".

I've got to agree with dark_lord. I don't have any more to add so TP for the Sith master.

I was just about to say:
"Why not just call 'em the
Boston Celtics?"
The name itself instills fear
in our opponents.

Anyway, I'm glad we agree  ;)
