I still think this guy is a FORCE.  He's a little small to play Center, but he makes up for it.
I don't think he'd come here for the minimum if Baby doesn't resign.  But it would be nice to see Wallace squared reunited.
Would you consider giving him the LLE if we resolve our wing/PG issues without it?  What kind of offense could get past KG and Big Ben?
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

Detroit.

He wants to return to redeem his legacy, and they have the spot for him.

Detroit.

Detroit issued a press release like 3 weeks ago saying they were not going to pursue him

Frankly, I thought he was done.

If Detroit has any interest, I think he goes back. He should never have left.

I think he's done too. Him coming here is a terrible idea IMO.

I think he'd be a good fit here because of the way he plays. KG, Sheed, and Baby are all outside big men that can stretch the floor, while Perk plays close to the basket. Now if you match everybody up it seems like, at times, we'll have nobody down low to crash the boards and score inside... Big Ben could do that for us.

Plus a 4 time AS and 4 time Defensive player of the year, even at 35, could be very useful as your 4th big.

for the record, Ben Wallace briefly suited up for the Celtics.  In training camp they tried to play him as a swingman.... these were the ML days...

You guys don't want Ben.  He is a MAJOR offensive liability.  Teams can completely leave him on offense.  He will only attempt to score if he can be guaranteed a dunk, otherwise he will pass the ball.  Also, he has back problems which tend ot flare up frequently.  There will be nights where can't even get off the ground high enough to dunk the ball.  Ben has lost just about all of his ability.  He plays very hard, unfortunately, he does not play very well anymore

I think Ben has some more in the tank. He is a huge offensive liability. But he is still a pretty good defensive player and offensive rebounder. Last year, he averaged 9.9 rebounds/2.1 blocks/1.3 steals per 36 minutes. If we lose Big Baby and don't get a suitable 4th big back, Wallace would be a good option. A Wallace/Wallace reunion coming off the bench would be great and would make our bench a better defensive unit then many other starting units. Joe Smith would probably be my #1 choice of the FA bigs available for the 4th big spot if we lose Big Baby, but Wallace would be 2nd.

My question is, how much of a liability could he be coming off the bench?  Last year we had games (even in the playoffs) where our bench barely scored at all.  And Rasheed picks up a lot of that slack.  If Detroit made it work with them starting, we can surely make it work with them off the bench.
I don't like him much either, but i think he'd be a perfect fit here.  Especially since we'd only play him 10-15 minutes a game.

He has no place in the league anymore. When defensive players cant defend any longer, they become Ben Wallace.

I know this is not related but Ben Wallace is the most overrated defender of all time.

The whole defensive scheme in Detroit was so terrific that it would just funnel blocks too him. Given he is a talented shot blocker, he's not DPOY caliber at all.....
