After all the coverage of Heinsohn's wife's death I expected to at least get a snippet about the passing of Bill Russell's wife Marilyn. It was announced during halftime last night that she had passed away. So thoughts and prayers to the Russell family. RIP

Best wishes to the Russells... That's too bad.
"Let me call him," Floyd said.

The man shook his head. "O.J. doesn't give out his cell," he said. "He'll call you."

I didn't hear that at halftime. Best wishes to Russell and his family. :'(

  • You know my methods, Watson.
wasn't aware of this...but thanks for sharing.

strangely enough, my son and i watched the sports century special on espn classic about bill russell this week.  i had seen parts of it, but had never watched it all the way through.  he is a unique man, an enigma of sorts.  i find his approach to relationships to be odd, but i hope that he finds support in those he has during this time.

Wow...that's a shame.  Condolences to Bill & family.

While it's certainly worthy of mention somewhere, the reason Tommy's wife passing was more public is simply because Tommy is more public and reference to "The redhead from Needham" was embedded in Celtics fan  who had watched a game within recent memory

Yup
