The Invisible Man  (1933)

An old English horror-farce with a great cast of stereo-types and clever special effects (for the time).  The story-line zipped right along through its various twists and turns.  A really delightful movie!

"High and Low" (Akira Kurosawa) ... a masterpiece that stays with you. Amazing, this director.

Not bad, worth watching if your a fan boy--but seriously, it's all foreplay leading up to the Avengers movie next year. That should be DOPE.

i love the pirates movies.  i enjoyed that film too, but didnt think it was good as the others. 7.5 out of 10 sounds about right to me.  (i didnt see it in 3D tho)

Captain America.  I thought I was going to love this movie, and I thought it was pretty mediocre.  I liked the first third of the movie, but I thought the rest of it dragged.

Saw it yesterday.  I don't know much about the original comic plot, but I thought they could have established his place in the army a little better through a real battle instead of a crazy suicide rescue mission.

The final fight scene was a bit of a cop out, but as a whole I liked the movie.

Question:  What exactly are his super powers?  Just that he's faster and stronger and has a cool shield?

When did he learn to fly a plane and do all the cool tricks with the shield?

Anyhow...liked it

Also saw Horrible Bosses which I thought was pretty dang funny.

I saw it over the weekend I thought it was aiight.

In movies they change things, so I dont know his "movie" ceiling.

In the comics he doesn't have Superhuman power.  The serum he took just makes him peak human. So he can do everything at peak human levels.  So he could lift a car for instance but he cant do crazy things like lift of throw a tank.  He could like run close to a minute mile but he is not the flash or anything.  Also as stated in the movie he cant get drunk.  His body doesnt produce fatigue poisons etc.  In this movie they stayed pretty true to his comic counterpart but who knows when the Avengers comes out.

Any yes you are right how he learned to fly a plane or use the shield that well as far as the movie goes...was never explained and handled poorly.  But in the comics he had all the training.  I guess for time constraints they just left all that out of the movie.  ::)

I'll have to catch the entire movie sometime later  ???

I haven't seen Captain America yet so don't spoil it for me...
