When was the last time you cried?

I'd like to say when the Lakers won
the title this year but luckily I do
not hate them that much 

On a more serious note, the last time
I cried really hard was at my father's
burial last year. When I was younger
I cried a lot and often, too. I guess
I've gotten tougher over the years.
I'm still a sentimental guy, though.

Please please please do yourself a favor and rent/buy this movie. The single most moving film I've ever seen.

I was literally broken up for over a day over this movie.

I won't try to explain it, just go see it. Let me know what you think.

i am not sure if any of you watch the show "Intervention" but if there is a good one on, and the person gets help at the end, and they show young kids who benefit from someone (parent, relative) getting better, well, as bill simmons would say, it could get a little dusty here in my household.

Last Friday, during the funeral for my high school friend Private Joe Stevens.  He joined the Army right after he graduated in '01 and was sent to South Korea, Kuwait and then Iraq.  In Iraq, he was one of the first people to go inside Saddam's main palace.  He suffered brain damage through being so close to the cannons and went through post traumatic depression when he came back.  The things that he went through really got to his head and he didn't receive enough help from the Army afterwards.  He was a great soldier and a great guy that always challenged me during those track days and I will miss him very much.

Because I need to break everything down into lists...Here are my crying categories (as an adult)

1) Grief
2) Joy
3) Stress
4) Physical pain
5) Onions

Thankfully 1 & 2 have offset each other very nicely in my life.

Of 3, I've had a few boiled over doozies.

4 - no, not really. 

5 - on occasion, but I don't cook as much as I used to

I'm impressed with the honesty in this thread. When it comes down to it, everyone has their boiling point and their melting point. Some are more emotional than others, some not at all. My issue is explained in the first post. I have an insatiable hunger to help people and be strong for those I care about which means I can't cry. There are moments of isolation where I could make an exception, but I don't. Which is why I write a lot, including poetry (which only one person has ever seen).
