I was hoping to grab Deron.  Back to the drawing board.

Deron was actually the guy gouki recommended to me in the 4th round to get. I did fell in love with LMA eventually, but yeah, he would have been a nice get.

Nice pick up.
Heh, I simply couldn't let him fall any further. Loved his Utah game

Forgot about the sped up draft clock times.

What Nick said about grabbing a great 6th man before rounding out your starting lineup struck quite a chord with me. I'm 95% sure the guys I was looking at for my center spot will (for the most part) be available next round. For that reason, I was left with quite a few questions about who I was going to pick.

Well, now I have my answer.

The LA Clipper select... Deron Williams

This guy was Chris Paul lite when he was at his peak in Utah.  I suggested this guy in PMs to a few GMs.  If you (or some other team) gives him an elite p&r partner, then he'll be creating good offense for your entire team.

Deron is a fantastic pick
I was kinda shocked he's fallen this far, but then again, so have a lot of All-NBA guards. Deron was my favourite though. His Utah days were awesome

I loved watching those Utah teams. They were my favourite team outside of Boston to watch in the league at that time. Deron made them hum. Beautiful to watch.
They had so many guys I liked. Kinda disappointed me that they never won anything, they had a bunch of great guys, and a couple who were definitely ahead of their time

Their front office needed to balance out the team better.

After Deron, their next 4 players were all best at the PF position. One a true PF. Two other PF/SFs. And a PF/C. Too much overlap.

So they played one of their PF/SFs at SF were he was much less effective and then put a SF/SG next to him neither of who could reliably hit outside shots.

So frustrating. They were so close. They just needed a front office with some balls. Instead they were overly loyal to the players already there and everything fell apart over time.

Still, great to watch at times. Deron was awesome. Multiple skilled bigs. Beautiful Jerry Sloan offense.

Argh, that team both annoyed & thrilled me so much!

Ha, I ironically suggested him to others too. Then he slid on down to me. His battles with CP3, and a couple of other undrafted guys for the top PG spot in the league were great. Paul was always an tier above D-Will, but it was definitely close.

Draft is open. We are behind schedule so we won't be skipping missed times until we get caught back up.

Jvalin has the pick.

That perimeter trio is terrifyingly good!

Plus Gobert in the middle to clean things up.
