If you guessed that Utah Jazz selected...

Reggie Miller with the 5(3) pick then you'd be correct!
Curse you! He was a guy I wanted in the sixth round :(

Best player on a team that made the Finals. Not many of those lying around.

Reggie is a superb player to put alongside other top talents. Does not need much of the ball. Changes the entire dynamic / spacing of the court for everyone. Lethal off ball threat who scores with supreme efficiency.

Awesome addition. Very happy to see him picked. I was worried he was going to be a bench player.

I worry a great deal about the defense on that team, but Miller is certainly reasonable value for the draft spot.

The wing defence isn't strong by any means, but 3 All-Defence guys at the other starting spots definitely helps

I think there’s a guy with a similar game to Reggie that I like even better.  Better shooter.

I wonder how Shaq would grade out as a defender in today's PnR heavy league.

Ah a Miller-lite right? I disagree, Miller was much more dynamic with his shots (hence the lower percentages).

Yep, it's over. Utah is in the pole position for sure as far as winning this.

An unstoppable Shaq surrounded with excellent shooters and a PG who can get him the ball.

We could all hope we get Shaq into foul trouble early to have a chance.

Not great, he really lacked the high-end lateral quickness by the 2000s (as well as the effort).

We only have the super-beefy Shaq to consider, but I think Orlando Shaq would have been able to handle it.

However, he was such a specimen physically I think he'd find a way IF he wanted to. If...

Peja was a better defender than he got credit for. He was fairly solid on D. He knew what to do and he had great size for a SF which gave him that extra cushion on D that he needed.

Still, the SF position in this Historical League has so many talented defenders that solid IRL is probably below average in this fantasy league.

I was thinking about picking Reggie Miller if he was available at my next pick (in a few slots) and playing him alongside Steve Nash but I thought I'd get slaughtered for having two bad defensive guards.

They would have been a lot of fun though. With Durant. Mmm .... just thinking about that is sweet.

Plus I don't think Horford is the right PF next to him.  I think they collectively lack the quickness they need to really be effective.  And Kidd was a solid all league defender, but I don't think he is near good enough on that end to make up for Miller's awful defense (especially by the 2000's).  Peja will get brutalized as a SF defender in this as well.  Given all of the great wings and speedy PF's, I think that team will struggle a great deal on defense.  Certainly will be hard to match on offense, but defense is definitely lacking.
