The Deli Guy rumor was by far the most laughable "inside" info I've seen someone try to pass off as legit on here.

if someone is bored with their sn and wants to start up as the Deli Guy, I'll give them infinite TPs (or if a mod wants to change mine, I'd be happy to take the moniker)

has he even recovered enough to contribute to an NBA team this upcoming season?

I have to go look up where I read it but I read somewhere that he still wasn't able to practice on back to back days.

I saw somewhere that he couldn't do the shuttle drill.

Whether or not that is true, I really think he is not the answer for this season.

who turns into a star point guard first?... Shaun Livingston or Jay Williams?  Place your bets...

It's not always best to take need over talent in the NBA draft, but with long-term concerns over injured guard Shaun Livingston, it would be a shock if the Clippers didn't take a guard with the seventh pick. Livingston destroyed his left knee after landing awkwardly following a missed layup against Charlotte in February 2007, tearing the anterior cruciate ligament, the posterior cruciate ligament, and the lateral meniscus. The fourth overall pick in 2004 missed last season and it's uncertain when he will play again. An NBA source said the Clippers aren't expected to make Livingston a qualifying offer (the lowest starts at $5.8 million), making him an unrestricted free agent July 1. But with major knee concerns, it's uncertain the Clippers, or any team, will be rushing to sign him. According to the source, Livingston can't work out back-to-back days and needs about 90 minutes of therapy before doing noncontact basketball drills. There is speculation he might not be able to play at the NBA level again. What made Livingston special: he is a point guard with Magic Johnson-like height, at 6 feet 7 inches. But if he returns without his spectacular quickness, he could move to the small forward position.

"90 minutes of therapy before non-contact basketball drills"?

Wow.  That doesn't sound like a guy whose going to contribute any time soon.

ouch, I don't think he is ever going to be able to live up to the potential he once had before that injury, but hopefully someone gives him a chance to be a role player for their team so he can extend his career.

A friend of a friend heard a Shaun Livingston to the Celtics rumor on EEI yesterday.

Anyone hear this or know more?

Why on earth would we want to throw Tony Allen out and get Shaun Livingston in instead?  That move doesnt make any sense.

I hate watching that video. Someone should start a thread for all the sadists(sadly, I'd be one of them glued to the thread) of all the nasty injury videos so we can rank the top 10. That, Joe Theisman and the Tim Krumrie Superbowl leg injury are some of the worst I have ever seen.

Hell no.

He wasn't that good before he hurt himself - poor shooter and not much quickness. People just loved him because he was "tall" PG with some good passing skills. That's not enough.

i highly doubt livingston will be able to play anytime soon. even if he can, who knows what he can do anymore. that was a horrible injury. 90 minutes of therapy before non-contact drills tells 1.5 years after the injury tells you something.
