I didn't see the game but Poirier went 6 for 9 for 14 points with 9 rebounds and 3 blocks coming off the bench. Those numbers and reports that he looked good are good to hear as I have been discouraged with his play for the Celtics. Sure, very limited minutes but even in those minutes, he wasn't very good.

He looked good at times but the game also looked like it was going too fast for him at times.

We have assigned Vincent Poirier to the @maineredclaws #FlywireTeamTransactions

Tacko time?

I think Tacko has a minor knee injury from what local radio said. He’s currently rehabbing.
But when he's healthy I dont see why not. Poirier was warming the bench, might as well have Tacko do it. He might also actually contribute.
though at maine, tacko actually gets to play and develop his basketball skills and knowledge. on the bench for boston, not so much.

EDIT: droop dog beat me to it. tp for him, her, it...
"It" is fine.

I was at the game last night. Poirier looked good. Probably the best player on the court.

His offense is limited, but defensively he really is quite athletic and long. He had some fantastic blocks, quality blocks where he didn't have to leave his man early or sell out.

If his BBIQ ever catches up to his body he will be a good NBA player.

Poirier isn't "needed" now. The Williams twins and Kanter need minutes.

Theis is working on his MVP resume now anyway.

Red Claws have a game tonight.  I bet Poirier will be back tomorrow.  Since the team isn’t having a practice today, it’s just a way to get some rust off him.  And if Tacko is out today, that means there are minutes for him to get without messing up Fall’s development.

Assigned again today, probably back for the Cavs game.
