Irving didnt shoot well

BUT

He played better on offense than vs the Hornets.  He was trying to get the others involved

The whole team couldnt stop LA ... was the issue tonight

Irving needs to keep passing and playing with consistent defensive effort when he is on the court... thats it

We always have trouble with teams with dominant bigs, particularly if Horford isn't playing. They always go off on us.

He’s 90% of the reason we struggle... the other 10% is basketball gods punishing Ainge for stealing Hayward from Utah and trading isiah .... also not trading for Paul George when he demanded a trade must be eating Danny inside

Paul george doesn't really do it for me, but I agree with the rest and acting like Crowder was the bad guy or something. I've seen that too many times with Danny.

I bet Jayson and JB become the bad guy now along with Morris and Terry to justify what he's getting ready to do.

I have a bad feeling about this team's future right now for many reasons.

Danny has never understood chemistry, or doesn't think it even matters.

Not even 1% for all of the other players? Even if we’re goving certain guys a pass due to injuries, I think Morris, Rozier, Tatum and Brown might deserve 0.25% of the blame each.

Well, if he has the ball 90% of the time while loving to show how well he can score...

Also his shot selection kinda stinks but he hits them and people overlook it.

But hey...Tommy loves him so there's that :)

You're just coming up with nonsense. His usage rate is 17th in the league.

Yeah, wow, people "overlook" a guy for making shots. What a surprise!

Because Isaiah has been tearing up the league since we traded him, right? It's really time for people to move on.

Kyrie certainly has his flaws but, my god, hold some of his teammates accountable too.   ::)

Yeah, I loved IT and thoroughly enjoyed his time here, but the guy is a shell of himself at the moment. Granted, he hasn't had a proper pre-season yet, but he's been shocking in Cleveland, LA and Denver. Hope he can sort it out and get back to being a 6MOTY threat

Kyrie must be one of the few players in the league who apparently is so bad that he's preventing his teammates from being All-Stars just by being on the court with them. These players would be so awesome if not for Kyrie holding them back.

Losses bring out a lot of irrationality though

Is that another stat?

Telling you he's just great for us?  I dunno man...i'm pretty sure everyone can see what's going on out there by now. Everybody chucks and heaves because they "finally" get a shot, then watching everyone blow by Kyrie they resent having to play defense for him because there's not a shot he doesn't like.

I know you like the guy man, but I haven't seen you make one honest assessment about the guy.  Almost like he walks on water to you.

Now that I don't understand.

Does the stats say how much players blow by him like he's non-existant and puts the rest of the team under duress?

You really think 11 guys are ok with that outside the media?

Kyrie has torn this team apart offensively, defensively....and socially :)

And honestly, it kinda looks like players have had enough, don't care, and can't wait to get out of here.

That's what it really looks like to me.

We always have trouble with teams with dominant bigs, particularly if Horford isn't playing. They always go off on us.

Don’t forget, guards who can penetrate and shoot also go off on us (Kemba, Lou Will, Murray, that scrub from NYK (trey Burke?))

So basically, anyone from any position goes off on us. Our defense likes to take breaks for stretches of games.

Kyrie Irving ranks 21st in the NBA in terms of time of possession.  You ready?

1.  James Harden -- 9.4 minutes per game
2. John Wall
3. Russell Westbrook
4. Damian Lillard
5. Kemba Walker
6. Trae Young
7. Chris Paul
8. Mike Conley
9. D'Angelo Russell
10. Luka Doncic
11. Ben Simmons
12. Jeff Teague
13. Lebron James
14. D.J. Augustin
15. Devin Booker
16. De'Aaron Fox
17. Kris Dunn
18. Collin Sexton
19. Dennis Smith Jr.
20. Jamal Murray
21.  Kyrie Irving - 5.5 minutes per game
21. Ricky Rubio (tied)

In terms of seconds per touch (i.e., how long does Kyrie hold the ball) he's ranked 60th in the NBA (and that filters out everyone who has appeared in less than 30 games).

Thanks for the stats Roy. I actually wish Kyrie was as ball dominant as some people here think he is.
