Forget game 7. Let's do this tonight. Don't let Korver shoot. Get a lead early and make them try too hard and make mistakes. Capitalize. Take down the King.

TP to Ogaju   for being the first to post in the game thread.

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Celtics!!!!!!

Hey FLCelts Fan. Thank you as usual for the game thread. TP. Also I saw the link under your banner today and clicked on it for the Celtics Green blog. It is GREAT! I absolutely love the comments from the other side for game 5. Those Cavs fans are delusional but the blog is fantastic!

"He's not playing Semi Ojeleye?"

Yabusele mirages = Lue forgets to take LeBron out the entire game and he dies of cardiac failure in the third quarter.  Cavs refuse to take his corpse out of the game and play 4 on 5.  Dead LeBron gets mad at ref when he is repeatedly called for three second violations.  Cavs finally figure out that they need to drag his corpse out of the key and to the 3 point line to spread out the offense.  Jordan Clarkson leads a late run with a barrage of 3's behind Lebron's tirelessly dead screens. Celts prevail.  Cavs sign Lebron's corpse to a multi-year extension.

Cautiously optimistic about tonight. Think we will know everything we need to know after the first quarter. Win that and I think they have a great chance to take the game.

First quarter has killed the Cs in the last 2 games in Cleveland.

Keep it together in the first quarter and wear them down the rest of the way.  We simply cannot afford to be down 15 points at the end of the first quarter.

The key when Baynes starts is that Brown has to take LeBron.  That is a lot to ask of a young player but he seemed to do fine in Game 5.  Can't allow CLE to get an early lead.  If we can hold them off at the start with Morris on the bench, it sets up well for us.

Brown has been affected by the pressure of the moment these last few games.  Tatum seems oblivious.  Rozier has been all but taken out as a factor  I think we will need one of Brown or Rozier to score more, be a threat that CLE needs to adjust to.  More likely it will be Brown that breaks out.  It is in his head, like when he couldn't make FTs.  He is "aiming" his shot.  He just needs to let muscle memory take over and shoot his natural shot.  He is still very young.  Let's see what he can do.

One other possibility, just to mess with Lue, maybe start Smart for Rozier, even if just for a few minutes.  Maybe start Semi too.  Lue's head would explode.
I don't think that's the case.  It seems more like he is a still a bit tentative following his injury.  He faced LeBron in last year's ECF too.

Can we at least understand the reality.  Whether or not Baynes starts, Brown has to guard Lebron.  Brown has guarded lebron every game but the first one.  The only way Brown doesn't start is if Thompson sits in favor of Korver.

As far as brown being affected by the pressure, I dont think that's the case either.  What brown is affected by is the fact that he's not THAT good yet.  He's still young and learning, nowhere near an all star, so he's going to be up and down.

Rockets win. So does Lebron try even harder now?

I was hoping gsw would win tonight

LeBron is going to give it all he has tonight.
I hope so.  We need him to be as exhausted as possible for Game 7.  Seriously, the young C's need to PLAY HARD and go into Game 7 with the edge.

well regardless what happens we need to pound him on both ends of the floor and try to keep it somewhat close so he has to play 40 minutes again that way he is exhausted yet again for game 7. we cannot let him ride the bench this game. make him play.
LET'S GO CELTICS!

Interested if we see James the distributor or James the volume scorer early on

I would guess James the distributor.  The only way he can win is with the help of the others.

The key is keeping Hill and Smith under 10 points each. Do that and Boston wins.
