The idea has been growing more and more in mind lately.  I would much rather play the Sixers, who we would most likely end up playing if we finish the season in the 3 seed, than the Pistons.

I understand the Pistons aren't the same team with Iverson, but keep in mind that was also with him starting.  I think Detroit has the potential to turn it around a bit with him coming off the bench.

We will beat either team.
The only thing that is important right now is getting home court advantage in the second round against the magic, and wait and see who we end up playing in round 1.

What can detroit turn around? a lost cause? we were better then them last year, and it took less games to beat them then the Hawks and Cavs...im not concerned about them

And now that we arent getting the overall #1 seed, I dont care where we finish, we're gonna have to win on the road to repeat, might as well start in orlando as far as im concerned.. and im even starting to think the celtics could flourish in the underdog role...they responded well to it late in last years playoffs, and didnt react that great as overwhelming favorites early
(theres gonna be alot of pressure on the cavs this season, and way more against boston then they had last season- none)
as far as trying to lose wednesday...heck no...but if you do, not the end of the world, it would actually be fitting to the way the seasons gone...

if we do repeat this season, I think it would be even sweeter then last years title...much more adversity this season and we're gonna have to overcome the odds on the road to do it...how sweet is it gonna be to knock off the nearly unbeatable at home cavs? I think much sweeter then beating them at home 4 times

No.  This type of thing never works out.  Do the best you can -- you never know what might happen during the last 10 games of the season.
Celtics fan for life.

Never, NEVER throw a game. Its just bad karma.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

Please explain how Philadelphia is most likely to finish in sixth?

Detroit has 13 games left
Philadelphia has 14 games left

Detroit is 1.5 games back. That race is as much of a toss up as our race is.

Also please explain how losing one game loses us the three seed.

There is nothing about your post that makes sense.

:o No offense, but you have done your homework, right? BruinsandCeltics clearly has.

Just losing to the Magic won't put us in 3rd, we'd probably get 2nd for sure. And, 6th + 7th place are still up for grabs.

We're going to beat anyone we play in the first round.  I want home court against Orlando.

Oh yeah, and KG would rather kill himself then throw a game.
"Take this down," said O'Neal. "My name is Shaquille O'Neal and Paul Pierce is the (expletive) truth. Quote me on that and don't take nothing out. I knew he could play, but I didn't know he could play like this. Paul Pierce is the truth."

TP for that.

And can I take away a TP for suggesting we throw a game?   >:(

I agree, we had to suffer through a championship season after throwing a ton of games in 2007. Not worth it at all.

First of all...NO

Secondly, hmmm...NO

Finally............N O !

And by the way, the Sixers have always been hard for the C's to beat. They are athletic and talented as the Hawks were last year.

No!

Besides, DET might very well finish 8th. If you look at their schedule and CHI one, it will be tough for the pistons to stay ahead. Today`s game between the teams will be decisive, IMO...
