Joe out coached Nurse tonight.

Joe going more inside and being less reliant on threes is gonna be a match up nightmare for opposing teams.

IF he does that. Big IF.

I loved watching the Celtics throwing those beautiful entry passes, followed by either an easy 5-footer or a power move for a layup.
Not sure what got into them to play that way offensively, but you are correct. If the Celts could utilize both ways to attack and maintain defensive focus, they will win the title. Was any explanation offered post-game for the low number of 3-attempts ?
The Four Celtic Generals:
Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

The Four Celtic Lieutenants:
Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce

What got them to play this way is that teams are now overcommitting on the 3 because it’s such a weapon that the Celtics can go inside with ease, since no one sends a double-team on Porzingis or rotates over for a drive, instead staying at home for a kickout.  When they start doing that again, the Celtics will start taking (and making) a ton of open 3s again, because they’re taking the shots the defense gives them.

Well, at least Philly did last night. Nurse overcommitted on covering the 3-pt line in the 1st half, and it worked for a while. During the 1st half, I posted here that Joe was being outcoached by Nurse, and that was true at that point. Credit Joe for making the correct adjustment and all the players (but especially JT) were on board with it. Personally, I believe the team didn't like the public banter about the C's "have to shoot three's" or "take too many three's" (at least KP said that post-game). The versatility of this team is outstanding.

Second half was a joy to watch last night.  Loved the aggressiveness and attacking the rim.

This team is special.  Savor it & hope that they stay healthy.
