I am not to sure if Von Wafer was picked up. If not he could be a good pickup for the roster spot we have open. What do you guys think?

  • Doc could learn a thing or two from Norman Dale
He's still a free agent.  Both Memphis and Houston came close to signing him, but he failed a physical with each team, I believe.

Lol?

I think that's all I need to know as far as Wafer.

Very true but if he got his act together he could help the 2nd unit a lot.

ok, i give up. the quotes above seem to indicate von wafer was not picked up due to a physical problem.

but then something is hinted at that looks to be behavioral.

what is the problem?.... beside not being a super basketball player?  ;D
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

I think you answered your own question.  He is just not a very good basketball player.  Borderline roster guys do not get contracts if they are not 1. healthy and 2. buying into the program.

Take this FWIW, but Von Wafer failed to pass the blood test, not exactly the physical (don't assume "recreational drugs", btw).

I don't know about Von Wafer. I think he's a very good scorer and shot-creator, good enough to help pretty much every single NBA team, including the Cs. However, seeing him in Europe gave me a better understanding of how awful he's in every other aspect of the game. I don't know, he's not the type of player I think Boston needs, even though the quality is there. I wouldn't make an offer for him now, but I'd absolutely keep an open line with his agent.
