Why not just go with Thunder then.

You know they're going to have some god-awful thunder noise every time they score a bucket.
Let's not forget the obligatory Thunder Sticks in the team colors that will be available free for the first 10000 people to walk through the gates.

As well as this song constantly being played:

God AC/DC rules!!

"Highway to Hell' or "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap" would probably be more appropriate to describe the OKC situation

The OKC ThunderBirds.

Doesn't do it for me. I could see the name being changed officially to T-Birds in less than a decade. Like Knickerbockers to Knicks or Devil Rays to Rays

I like the Thundercats better too Roy! HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Just thought of something. Thundercats would rule as a name. After every baskets the PA guy could say:
"Kevin Durant from Green! 2 points, Thunnnnnnnnnnnnnndercats!"

and the crowd could repond:

"HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO"!!!!

The atmosphere would be unreal in tight games.

They could play this during intros:

Or...  maybe not.

kinda? no, it is. People died. but yeah, I try to ignore that kind of stuff and hope it goes away... giving any response is really giving reinforcement and then they do more of it

Sorry cdif, you probably changed it a month ago but your new avatar, is that the famous Route 1 Dino at the Saugus Minigolf? Pretty cool avatar, even if it's not that Dino!!

oh it is the Saugus minigolf dino in all his resurrected glory, still gotta get out there this summer, I make an annual visit to pay homage to all that is the orange glory

on that note, why not name the OK team, the OK Orange Rt. 1 MiniGolf Dinosaurs...that'd totally sell shirts
I'm down with that name. I haven't been there in a decade, do they still have the arcade and batting cages? I lived in that arcade and those cages for a good part of my 20's.

On subject, I think Redz was the best if they are going with a thunder theme.

Just Thunder works.

Thunder of hooves of herds of bison or horses.

Thunder and lightning of summer storms.

45th Infantry Thunderbirds based in Oklahoma.

Oh well that's not gonna work I guess there's an Oklahoma Thunder in some new World Football League. Thunderbirds it is then. Yuck, I just don't like that name.

As a reminder, people who make callous jokes about terrorism are getting a 90 day suspension, minimum.  It's unfortunate that we have several members who find humor in the deaths of 168 people, and injuries to 800 others.  It's not going to be tolerated here.

  • I left Indiana. Because it was horrible.
This could be a smokescreen.  There was an okcmarshalls.com site that linked back to the NBA once you landed on it.  Besides the misspelling, the site no longer exists/links.
CB Draft Bucks: Chris Paul, Dwight Howard, Tobias Harris, Zach LaVine, Aaron Afflalo, Jeff Green, Donatas Motiejunas, Jarrett Jack, Frank Kaminsky, Lance Stephenson, JaVale McGee, Shane Larkin, Nick Young

DKC Bucks. Also terrible.

That name might be good for a double A baseball team just like "Bobcats" is good for an elementary school.

Such a sad state of affairs.
We're the ones we've been waiting for.
