Anyone still clamoring for Kris Dunn?

I'd like someone to go back and hunt for how many people thought we shouldn't draft Dunn because we had an equal or better player in Terry Rozier.

Just for fun, here is a comparison at their age-23 years this year.

I definitely still take Brown over Dunn, but Dunn has actually had a very nice season going for 13.4/6/4.3 while playing very good defense. After last year, it was thought that he might be a total bust, but he seems to definitely have some promise moving forward.

The Rozier comparison is in fact a very good one!

Dunn did improve his shooting this year.  However, I do think what you see now with him is pretty darn close to the finished product with him.  Brown, on the otherhand, is still climbing towards a much higher ceiling.

Jalyen Brown averaged the following this year:

Nov: 4.6 ppg, 2.3 rpg in 13 minutes per game
Dec: 4.6/1/5 in 13 minutes
Jan: 6.2/4 in in 16 minutes
Feb/Mar: 10.5/4.5 in 24 minutes

So after seeing the progression, what's your prediction for a (assume healthy) Brown next year?

Mine? 14.5 ppg/5.5 rpg in 28 minutes per game.

And the results.

PPG: 14.5.
RGP: 5.0
MPG: 30

It's not going to be much closer than that.

Now here's hoping that Brown and Tatum spend all offseason together. Let Brown teach Tatum some defensive tricks and let Tatum give Brown another offensive move or two to add to his repertoire.

Nice job!  Very close to the final numbers.  I have to say that WolfofCausewayStreet was really close as well.  He had brown with 14.1 ppg  / 5.6 reb.

The real question is what do you have for him for next year?

I'll have to think about next year. That will be more difficult to predict with Kyrie and Hayward coming back. If not for their absence, Brown probably would have been somewhere around 12-13ppg. I know Brown's scoring went from 14.0 to 14.5 in the 20 games Kyrie was out. Then again, I didn't figure on Tatum playing 30mpg either.

Still, my initial guess is somewhere north of 17 ppg. He's too good not to get the ball in his hands.
Jaylen Brown will be an All Star in the next 5 years.

Either I forgot or never realized Dunn spent 4 years in college.

Brown and Simmons will be the two best players from their draft. Ingram is too frail and doesn’t have the frame to pack on useful weight.

Brown has elite size (at SG), athleticism, and intelligence.
