21 free throws in a row! Beat my previous career high by 13! I'm elated.

What are you guys's FT-streak records?

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
Before heading home I shoot FT's at the gym. I don't leave the basketball court until I shoot 10 in a row.

21 you say eh? Challenge Accepted.

I'm sure you could do it. I was just plain lucky for thirteen shots in a row.  :o Still don't know how I did it.

  • We may as well put Tyrion in at center.
One time, I missed some potential game-tying free throws. Really upset with myself.

I went and shot/made 500 free throws the next day. Took me a few hours. I repeated this for the next few days. I don't really get hot and my best streaks range around 10-15, but the streaks happen more often than not.
I like Marcus Smart

Can't help but think that this contributed to the Celtics' 21 turnovers in Game 1.

Tried shooting FTs again today, longest streak was just 3. Good news!

Cool way to practice: hit = +1 point, miss = -2 points. Shoot until you have 10 points.

Don't remember my in game streak, but have it 20+ while practicing a couple of times.

during a game or practice?

In practice i shot once 63 in a row, then i had to stop because, well, the others wanted to train as well. Unfortunately, shooting free throws is about the only thing i can.
during a game i shot once 13 for 13, ending the game with 13 points, but that's a long long time ago.

oh wow ya thats a cool way to practice. imma steal this idea.

imma do that tomorrow after school, but imma start easy. +1 make, -1 miss. my goal is gonna be 20. then imma keep makin it harder. for wednesday imma do +1 make -2 miss goal 20. imma keep makin it tougher everyday until i a reach level where every miss makes me wanna cry lol.

I'd probably never get 10 points. Tried this once but gave up when I realized that there was no hope in coming back to the positives from -85

Nice. Too bad it's he-who-must-not-be-named ;)

And lol @ -85. Yeah, I've been there.

I just remembered my biggest streak is 50+, which was during a summer where I practiced a lot.

Another thing I used to do, is 5 free-throws, then do a bunch (10 or so) of jumpshots from the elbow or baseline, then 5 free-throws again. This way, you get into a game rhythm, breathing-wise, and freethrows are a lot more realistic that way.

Candidly, that's when I shoot best. Maybe because of the need to control my breathing better?
