Nope. That’s a bold-faced lie on Nurse’s part. The video clearly shows he doesn’t try to call timeout until after the ball is already loose. He clearly didn’t try to do one before the ball was inbounded.

Well its all ancient history now but apparently the NBA said that Nurse called timeout and wasn't recognized.



In any case it was a litany of errors, Hart should have been called for the foul, Brunson fouled Maxey, and Nurse's timeout was ignored. All in the name of "let them play" and not let the game be decided at the free throw line probably. Sixers are apparently going to file a complaint...doubtless they feel they should be 2-1 up.
