Awesome to see Tatum break the scoring record and get the all-star game MVP, AND have Brown lead the opposing team in scoring too. Awesome.

1 MVP down… two to go…

Regular season and NBA Finals.

It’s on the table.

For people worrying about the minutes played, these guys played no defense tonight, this was basically a shooting practice. They got a much lighter workout than a day of regular practice and they all have a long layoff before and after this game.

I must admit, this All-Star weekend was quite impressive and ranks among the most memorable ones I have witnessed. The dunk contest was particularly spectacular and left me in awe. Moreover, the fact that a Celtic player emerged as the MVP of the All-Star game, after engaging in a fierce competition with a Celtic player from the opposing team, made the event all the more exciting.

This was a fun distraction to see our guys show out in the all star game, but the mountain is still there to climb.  We all want a championship.  It feels like we got as good a shot as anyone.  Going to need the best from JT and JB to do it.

The Harlem Globetrotters worked up more of a sweat then this game. Everybody just standing around.

They don't have a rivalry.

Why is Jaylen Brown playing in this game ? He is injured. He has not played in the last, what, 5 games ?

I think there used to be a league rule.

But priority should be the Celtics ..... not playing in this clown show.

The Four Celtic Generals:
Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

The Four Celtic Lieutenants:
Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce

It’s actually not a bad idea, if he can get comfortable with the mask in a meaningless exhibition game and then hopefully skip the awkward adjustment in a game that matters.

All all-star games should be moved to the end of the season, like the NFL’s Pro Bowl — so that no one is injured in a meaningless game, and so players have to put in an entire season of good play to earn the selection (I mostly have MLB in mind with this one, as there have been many cases of guys going off a cliff in the second half of the season, but that happens in other sports too). Just give all players a week of rest in the middle of the season.

Please no more ‘break up the J’s’ comments … please

That would make me very happy but I don’t hold my breath

I just caught some highlights.  The best part to me is Jaylen’s mask.  I can’t decide if he looks more like a super hero or villain.  Either way, the mask is excellent.
