Parker's only 26 years old. If he can recover part of his pre-ACL injuries form he's totally worth a shot.

Right after the trade deadline, if you told me the C's were going to release a player, I would have guessed Kornet over Wagner.

Even looking at the title of the Kornet thread and the first few posts, it seems like that was a popular assumption.

So I wonder if Danny's plan was to always waive Wagner (if he had to waive someone) or if Kornet's play got him promoted and/or Wagner's got him demoted (or both).

I think Danny wanted both.  He could’ve traded for Kornet without getting Wagner, by a 3-way deal with Orlando, since Chicago was already trading with the Magic too.

2 year deal and Wagner was released.

Knowing Danny it's one of those 2 year deals where the 2nd year isn't guaranteed and so can be used in trade during the summer as a contract someone can take on and cut to save cap space.

They actually changed the rule about non-guaranteed salary.  Now, only guaranteed salary counts for trade matching purposes.

I’m glad we made this move.  Jabari is a legit NBA scorer.

This move drastically improves Boston's bench scoring.

I absolutely hate that we traded Theis, but it only ever made sense if we were going to waive one of the two Cs and sign a buy-out/FA. So, great move imo, even if it doesn’t work out. I don’t particularly care for Kornet or Wagner - glad that we made a move, even if it was only to make a move and give more credence to trading Theis.

As for Parker the player - the guy clearly has talent and we have him locked up through next year if he proves to be a fit. Excited to see if he’s recovered.

The wrap against him is that he is terrible on defense.

But love the move.  Give him a shot.

Yesterday’s game must have tipped Luke over Mo in the pecking order. He played good D and was a threat outside. Mo on the other hand played awful. It would have been nice to see how Mo would look with a full training camp though.

A bench of Fournier and Parker is a legit scoring threat. Excited to see how this pans out!

wow that seemed to come out of nowhere, the Jabari part I mean.

Not sure if last nights game is part of the reason that Wagner is gone, but it couldn't have helped.

I was crazy about Parker at Duke and sad we couldn’t get him.  He seemed to stay hurt and I lost interest in his career.  Maybe I m wrong but I thought he was also being ignored because to was having issues maintaining a team first focus .

This move also tells me Danny wants to give this group a shot. After the trade deadline we’ve shown we might have a legit playoff run in us.

I haven't seen him enough lately to know what's up with him. He can score. I guess we'll see. He offers more than Wagner so it's an upgrade for the bench.
