ESPN Sources: The Washington Wizards are finalizing a deal to send Chris Paul to the Golden State Warriors for a package that includes Jordan Poole and future draft assets.

Warriors are sending Jordan Poole, a protected first-round pick in 2030 and a second-rounder in 2027 to the Wizards for Chris Paul, league sources said.

Was a pipe dream, but was still holding onto hope that CP would be waived and we’d get a shot at him.

EDIT: This May also be a way to retain Draymond. Cleared a lot of longer-term money off their books. Not good for the Warriors pick.

Flipping Poole would cost them draft compensation. Think they'll give him a season to repair his trade value.

2030 1st and two 2nds. Wonder what the protections are on the 1st? That’d be a potential major asset if unprotected given that timeline.

At lat year's lower efficiency that would still equal 33 ppg.  I think the Wizards would take that without issue.
