Even if this is the preseason, we have to go through them and they are who we aspire to be, we aren't close to their level yet! They may not have LBJ anymore but they still have Tristan Thompson who was only second on that team to LBJ. You make Tristan the number #1 option and that's like the Bulls with Pippen and no MJ, you clearly saw what that was like! I think this is a must-win game and we should take it serious, by beating them, we will hopefully get a huge boost in confidence! If we lose, I think DA will consider breaking this team up and starting over, piece by piece, until that juggernaut is too old and worn down, which should make them easier to beat.

Even for a preseason game, this effort is inexcusable. Nobody is fighting for any boards. Nobody is playing help D or staying in front of their man.This was actually a big fear of mine going into this season. The expectations have changed. Does this team know how to be a contender? Feels from what I’ve read, Stevens has tried to make a point that they need to fight to get back where they were. Hope that sense of entitlement doesn’t seep into this team. So far, it feels like they think they can waltz through the season.

other than Williams looking like a really solid pick by Danny, this preseason has looked pretty horrid.Good summary, but I’ll take it. Vets will round into form. Williams was always the big question. Now he looks like he could be a real contrbutor off the bench. Love his energy, shot-blocking abilitiy, passing and rebounding. Biggest game of his young career!

I don't think Brad has ever had a team like this where the talent level and expectations are both sky high - so he may be going through this for the first time as a coach. And yes, there's a huge difference between Game 7's where talent really matters (remember our gritty team clanking shot after shot off the rims), regular season and pre-season. But none of that takes away from the fact that they've played like crap through the first 3 pre-season games. We have to remember that the 2010-2011 Miami Heat had a rough start with their newly formed Big 3 and team.Precisely. Not every team can just gel instantly like our '08 team did, which is probably part of the reason why early expectations may be a little lofty
Preseason is the time to figure it out. We'll have some slumps here and there, but as long as all our guys are healthy, Brad Stevens will figure out the rotations and what will be happening on the floor.
This is going to be a very, very dangerous-contending team when their chemistry gels.
