Thanks!

Nice to meet you. I hope I can make friends here, too.

How did you it was me? And how did you know I've been a member of SSR for a long time?
You can just call me WaveOcean, or Wave for short. I was not thinking straight when I chose my screenname.

I just joined the forum today and it'll take me a while to get used to everything.

To make a long story short, the Cavs have become so horrible that watching them isn't any fun. It's just painful. I want to watch basketball for fun.

So, it makes more sense to pick a title contender and watch the fireworks between the top teams this year while waiting for this dreadful season to end. I've chosen the Celtics.

Yeah, I feel sorry for the Cavs fans...a total turnaround...but they are franchise that will have to rebuild...and that takes time. Celtics fans know it all too well what it feels like. Hickson, Varejao, draft picks, trades and that huge trade exception will help you guys rebuild.

PAPOUG!   2010 - 2011
___________________________________________________________________________
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

FEBRUARY 7, 2011 - RESULTS:

Over:

GreenFaith1819 - Sam Young, Memphis Grizzlies: 5.5/22 = +16.5
Kwhit - DeMarcus Cousins, Sacramento Kings: 13.5/25 = +11.5
MGent - Ray Allen, Boston Celtics: 17.3/25 = +7.7
Redz - Jared Dudley, Phoenix Suns: 9.7/12 = +2.3
Mulla - Marcin Gortat, Phoenix Suns: 7.0/8 = +1.0
BareFacedMonk - Von "Nilla" Wafer, Boston Celtics: 2.7/3 = +0.3
Misha - Jose Barea, Dallas Mavericks: 8.8/9 = +0.2

Under:

MattG12 - Anthony Parker, Cleveland Cavaliers: 8.8/7 = -1.8
Edgar - Nate "Donkey" Robinson, Boston Celtics: 7.5/2 = -5.5
ACF - Dorell Wright, Golden State Warriors: 16.8/9 = -7.8
Dark_Lord - Dirk Nowitzki, Dallas Mavericks: 23.4/12 = -11.4

Other:

Bahku - Amir Johnson, Toronto Raptors: 10.4/0 = -10.4/0 - No Game

Recap:

Really ugly loss for the Celtics tonight, trying to win with jump-shots instead of attacking the basket, (an obvious back-to-back lack of energy game). However, a superb pick by GreenFaith1819 who garners his sixth win of the season ... congratulations, Buddy! One TP paid to GreenFaith1819 for the win, (seven owed), one paid to Kwhit, for the sweet second-place score, (three owed), and the doody paid to Dark_Lord.

Wins List:

Kwhit - 17, MattG12 - 13, Redz - 12, Bahku - 10, BareFacedMonk - 10, RebusRankin - 7, GreenFaith1819 - 6, Edgar - 4, ACF - 4, Misha - 4, MGent - 3, Dark_Lord - 3, Truck Lewis - 2, GreenBean - 2, Atzar - 2, BDM860 - 2, Mulla - 1, Stoyko - 1, The Walker Wiggle - 1, GainesvilleCeltic - 0, CeltG1 - 0.

** Note: When you make your pick, please try to check and make sure you haven't left anyone out ... sometimes when picks are made close together, the previous player is missed. Also, if you see a duplicate pick, or a pick that is injured, or no game that day, please alert the person who made the pick to their mistake.

Also, please make sure your pick has played ten games if using this year's stats - some players' teams have played more than ten, but the player hasn't ... you may be selling yourself short! ;) Thank you kindly! **

Go Celtics!

** For those who may not know, to copy any form "cleanly", (so you don't get the green boxes), just click on "Quote", (above, beside "Modify"), remove entire quote sentence at top of message box between [brackets], (starts with "quote", ends with long number, including brackets), remove [/quote] at bottom of message box also, then copy and paste what's left to a new reply, and add your info. **

** If you don't need to follow the format, (most here don't), then just left click and hold it down, move cursor to highlight what you need, then, (while area is still highlighted), right click, choose "Copy" by left-clicking, and it will be copied. Then go to your new space, right click again, and choose "Paste" by left-clicking again ... what you copied will appear in the new space. That's it! The first process is used when you want to add your name to, or alter the original, but still retain everything the original contained ... if that's not needed, then just "Copy and Paste".
**

If ANY of you can't make your picks and would like me to do it for you, I'd be happy to do so ... just let me know via PM. - Bahku

Thanks!

Yeah..plenty of good people here...just don't praise Kobe and the Lakers. ;D jk.

I lurk around at SSR sometimes...to catch up on "enemy chatter". It wasn't hard to guess...you use "wave" in all your screen names. Is CaliforniaWave the "other" side of you...as in the Fight Club kind? ;D

LOL

To put it in a nutshell, it was originally an alternative account I created as part of a prank on one of my best friends on SSR. These days, I use it to pretend to be a Laker fan, and the guys on SSR are good sports about it, playing along and treating it like a separate entity.

I also have another account for a "Celtic" persona, but that is another story for another time.

By the way, you guys can just call me Wave or WaveOcean. I don't know what I was smoking to choose the screenname I have now. I wish I could change it.

Let me guess...you're Celtics18and19!

It was the forum gimmick that was holding me back. But I think I can get used to it.
