Whatever new thing comes out of this, I want in. This place is literally a hangout spot for me, and its sad to see coming to an end.

Thank you, Jeff, and to the moderators that kept it running. You guys have been great.

I'll see you guys in the new platform.

Just terrible news. If the front page had a better set up (no, Fan posts are not the answer), then it could be a pretty seamless transition. My fear is that if we set up a separate site just for forums, then that will eventually fall out of favor to many current CB users. Sucks having to start over from scratch (no post or TP count) on another site.

Personally, I always click on the main page and scroll for new/interesting articles before venturing into the forums, but the forums are by far my preferred form of Celtics (and everything else) news. I have very few friends, hate Facebook, and have almost no online presence besides this site. I get almost no enjoyment from being online besides occasionally going to Youtube.

It is obviously not Jeff's or anybody else's fault, but at least for me, this is going to be a major change (reduction) in how I browse the internet. CB forums have been automatic for me since like 2004.

I am the same.  No internet other than news and Cblog.   I wish I could help but am technologically clueless.  I would contribute dues as a user to keep this site going.  This is my go-to entertainment most days and will be a huge loss.

Would be sad to lose this blog. I watch it everyday and it's my most visited site on the web. I also would be willing to pay contribution to keep this blog running.

Tech guys (and or girls), good luck!

Are you setting a go fund me or an account we can donate too, to help.   I don't have many computer skills that would help but I would be willing to through some dime your way.

Thanks a lot for running this site!

In the past 10 years, I've probably frequented this site more than any other on the interwebs. Sad. I'm definitely willing to help in any way I can.

Thanks, Jeff, for creating this site.  I've visited it a lot over the years.  There's been a lot of great conversation here.  I've learned a lot about the Celtics, the NBA, and basketball in general from reading this site.  I will miss it and hope that it will live on elsewhere.  And thanks to all the moderators who put in so much time to make this site run so well.

Everyone here interested in contributing directly: please PM me your email address and I'll add you to a Slack channel/ chat. I can take lead on vetting some options, will have lots of questions about what SBNation can provide, etc, etc.

Suggest we pow-wow in more detail there and provide updates here.

Great idea, just sent email. Also registered a few names that we could use if we like them. I have a few hundred overall now(not the thousands from before) but mainly outside sports. I came up with a good one though for us :)

This is most certainly depressing news. There will never be a Celtics community quite like this one. I've never been able to get into FanPosts.

I am not technologically savvy enough to help with such a move, but I will suggest Invision Community as a reputable and easy to use forum software to potentially transfer to.

One of the other forums that I frequent uses their software, and I find the browsing experience to be excellent in its ease of use and reliability, with a much more practical and modern (but not overbearingly modern) user interface.

I come home after a long day of work to this?!

But I believe this blog will persevere.  TP to Byennie for offering to shoulder the load.  While I can't devote much time nor expertise, I am willing to donate to the cause.

As others have said, thanks to Jeff and all the other mods here who make this one of the best sites on the net.  I am also willing to chip in some cash to help out with migration costs, or help out in other ways if possible.  I am not a tech person either.  With so many quality people here, I don't really worry that we will lose the forum completely.
