Thought this was pretty cool what Comcast SportsNet is doing...

Quote
Nearly every player on the Celtics is recognizable, but Comcast SportsNet asks the question – do you remember them before they were Celtics?
Starting Friday, December 17 at 7 p.m., Comcast SportsNet goes old school with six classic NCAA games featuring some of the Celtics biggest names – Ray Allen, Paul Pierce, Rajon Rondo, Shaq, Glen “Big Baby” Davis and Celtics GM Danny Ainge.

Friday, December 17 | 7:00-9:00pm
Ray Allen – UCONN
1995 UCLA vs. UCONN

Ray Allen goes for 36 in this Regional final, however UCLA takes a 102-96 victory over the Huskies.

Friday, December 17 | 11:00p-1:00am, Saturday, December 18 | 12:00-2:00pm
Paul Pierce - Kansas
1997 Kansas vs. Arizona

Kansas loses to the eventual National Champion wildcats of Arizona 85-82.  Pierce had 27 points, 11 rebounds.

Saturday, December 18 | 2:00-4:00pm
Rajon Rondo - Kentucky
2005 Michigan St. vs. Kentucky

Rondo makes a few key plays despite Michigan State emerging victorious after two overtimes to defeat Kentucky. The Spartans open the second overtime with a 3-pointer and then make 11 straight free throws to seal the win.

Saturday, December 18 | 4:00-6:00pm
Shaquille O'Neal - LSU
1990 Illinois vs. LSU

This game was a great preview of Shaqs potential to become one of the game’s most dominating centers of all time.

Saturday, December 18 | 8:00-10:00pm
Glen Davis - LSU
2006 LSU vs Texas

"Big Baby" scored 26 points, including the decisive shot in overtime, to lead LSU to its first Final Four since 1986 with a 70-60 victory over Texas in the Atlanta Regional final.

Sunday, December 19 | 4:00-6:00pm
Danny Ainge – BYU
1981 BYU vs. Notre Dame

In the final seconds, BYU upset Notre Dame with a 51-50 victory sending Brigham Young University into the Regional Finals. Danny Ainge took the ball coast to coast for the winning lay-up to upset Notre Dame by 1.

Really glad I get to be home for break to catch this.

  • Yup
I turned the TV on tonight and it was on CSN.  I had instant Travis Knight access!

Donny Marshall was lighting it up (this was probably his idea, huh).

The O'Bannon brothers were UCONN's opponent.
