A playoffs series don't start until you win on the road.

The Celtics' playoffs haven't even started yet, and probably won't this year.

embiid and simmons might be licking their chops

Winning on the road in the playoffs is hard.  We have some kids who aren't as good as we're asking them to be just yet.

Rozier, Brown, and Tatum have never had to lead their team in a closeout game before.  It'll be the hardest thing any of them have done to this point in their careers - it will be a learning experience.

Excellent points ............problem is Brad is obviously not there yet either and he has some experience by now. Way too in love with small ball.

So .............. back to my question on Monroe. Why doesn't he get more minutes ?
Excluding tonight, Greg Monroe has played 55 total minutes this series. In that span, the Celtics have been outscored by 21.5 points per 100 possessions. Worst margin, by a mile, of any Celtic with meaningful minutes this series.

Jesus Christ, Brad, did you really just sit on your effing hands the entire last half of the 4th and let us continue to chuck threes?? WE HAD TWO FREAKING TIMEOUTS LEFT AND YOU DID NOTHING THAT ENTIRE TIME??

I'm sorry, but Brad COMPLETELY blew this game for us in the second half. If he wasn't over there sitting on his hands letting Morris, Rozier, and even Smart shoot us out of the game with dumb shots and terrible decision-making, he was making dumb substitutions right in the middle of our big run, essentially squandering it.

What a frustrating loss. As good of a coach as he is, he has some MAJOR weak areas during in-game decision-making that really hurt us.

Its not on Brad. We got a ton of open looks and couldn't hit the ocean. We deserve to lose this game.

It's on Brad.

1) He squandered the run to tie it in the 3rd with dumb substitutions, getting us back to a 9 point deficit;

2) He essentially did nothing to hinder Morris (5-14) and Rozier (5-17) from shooting us out of the game in the second half when they clearly were bad shots and he had already warned the team about that type of offense after the first half;

3) We ended the game with two timeouts, yet he didn't do anything in the second half of the 4th but watch the team continuously jack up long threes, most of them being above the break.

The dude just struggles with in-game adjustments and substitutions. He regularly overvalues rest and kills our momentum by doing so, e.g. Al playing only 33 minutes in a close-out game and Brad taking him out after tying the game in the third, leading to the nine point deficit going into the fourth. That stuff is just inexcusable.

1) Milwaukee has staryed their run before he even subbed out Al.

2) You said it yourself, he warned them. But they did it anyway. What's he supposed to do, sit them? The only other option is to play Nader and Yabu instead.

3) Im sure he talked to them about getting better looks, heck he subbed out rozier after several questionable shots. Just because you don't know what's going on in the timeouts doesnt mean you can whine about what you think they are not doing.

But yeah, easier to blame the coach than look at the open shots we missed and the tough shots Milwaukee made.  ::)

Highly doubt the bucks are mentally strong enough or prepared for what they are about to walk into Saturday night.
I sadly think they'll hold up better than you think.  they didn't look mentally weak tonight in a must-win game 6

If the C's are having trouble containing guys like Middleton, Brogdon, and letting Giannis abuse us then Embiid, Simmons, and Reddick are gonna have a field day running all over the current C's.

tenn_smoothie better go back to questioning things about Kyrie than asking about Monroe who's a bad matchup this series.

Can you imagine how many more points Bird, Pierce, and MJ could have scored if they were allowed to take 3-4 steps AND not be allowed to get touched?  WOW.

You could touch Jordan?

That was in Milwaukee. Doing it in Boston is a another level. Boston doesn’t lose game sevens at home

it won't be easy for them but if Boston wins it won't be because Milwaukee plays intimidated by the setting.

But yeah, easier to blame the coach than look at the open shots we missed and the tough shots Milwaukee made.  ::)

1) You keep saying this, but it simply isn't true. They made one bucket and were up 2 when Brown and Al went out. They subsequently went on an 11-4 run the rest of the quarter. But, sure, it was happening before they went out and clearly had nothing to do with that terrible substitution.

2) Uh, yes, you sit Rozier and Morris, specifically Morris who was worse, when they do that crap. We could've survived without them and probably would've been better off with them on the bench rather than them continuing to jack up terrible shots and losing us possessions.

And, no, you simply play your better players more minutes. It's inexcusable that Horford and Tatum only played 33 and 32 minutes in a winnable close-out game. That's terrible coaching with what he was having out there instead.

3) There weren't any timeouts - that's the entire point. We ended with two timeouts left, yet Brad just let them continue to jack up long threes to end the game. Simply sitting on your hands and only talking to your team at tv timeouts or when the other coach actually does his job and calls a timeout is not sufficient. Hell, at the very least it would've stifled their run, but naw.

But, yes, keep up with the Brad apologism, even when he shares a ton of the blame. Clearly he does no wrong.

This dude could come out, take a sledgehammer to Kyrie's knees, and some of you would still be making excuses for him. It's really baffling.
