The overreaction here is amazing. Come on guys! We all knew this was going to be ugly going in, what did you expect? No Pierce or Pietrus to guard Lebron is a recipe for disaster. Pavlovic and Daniels got killed in the 2st half, and there is no one at all on the bench to take their place.

Considering that Lord Stern has decreed it, we can't play real defense against this team.

I need two cigarettes and this totally kills my desire to talk to my non-Celtic fan of a girlfriend.

At least rondo back to normal at the line

Rondo is carrying the team right now. he can do no wrong in my book. Danny Ainge should grateful he is on the team.

No way this team is a three seed. No way they can beat Miami. The window is shut and this is a farewell tour

You are calling this after the 2nd game of the season?

Without Paul Pierce or Mickael Pietrus?

Remind me to PM you before I play the lottery, lol....

absolutely. those 2 guys wouldn't make a difference tonight....and in a short season boston is old and can't even keep up.

Boston expressed interest in Erick Dampier during free agency, sources say. May want to look into Damp again. Just no presence in the middle

Still hearing Joel Pryzbilla is happy in quasi-retirement. But if I'm Boston I make some calls about him, too.

No. I have projected 5th or 6th seed from the beginning of the season.

Our D is terrible. I'd like a real center and a 3 to replace Pavlovic. Seriously how hard is it to find a guy who can shoot?

Where is the new "blow it up" thread? I need some entertainment, because this game has been pretty disappointing.

Lets just rest RR,KG RA for the home game tomorrow... we ain't winning this game...even if we get it close which is impossible, the refs will make sure the cHeat win this one.

Tonight may stink, but it's not a reflection on the larger picture.

The whole thing changes with Pierce in the lineup.

He's our best player.  Remove the best player from any team and they're going to struggle.

You've only got 5 guys on the court in basketball, so missing your top line guy has a huge impact.

What's the drop off from Pierce to Sasha?  Like a million-billion?  Is it even measurable?

So we'll take our lumps early and hope Pierce is only dinged up and not broken (you can never be sure with Ainge's injury reports).

I just wish Doc would use this opportunity to give the rookies some burn.  When Pierce and Pietrus are in the lineup there will be no minutes for them at all.

Isnt Paul pierce 34 years old, hurt, and has a million miles on those legs?  He'll help for sure, but is he stopping lebron or Wade? I'm not so sure, I dont see the C's touching this Heat team this year. It is what it is, maybe OKC or Chicago but not this team, Pierce or no Pierce

  • Another undersized Celtic...
If KG decides to continue playing after this season...I hope he signs somewhere else. Boston doesn't deserve him. Ungrateful lot.
I didn't see a single post that said anyone was ungrateful for what KG has don here, simply that he's not the player he once was. Even the greatest of players get traded or move on, what's wrong with suggesting that we should too?

I'm not arguing the fact that he has declined. But he is not "useless" as Change so bluntly put it.
fair enough. He obviously isn't the reason we're getting spanked tonight, but it shows you how important he is when everyone looks to him to rally this team.
