If KG decides to continue playing after this season...I hope he signs somewhere else. Boston doesn't deserve him. Ungrateful lot.
I didn't see a single post that said anyone was ungrateful for what KG has don here, simply that he's not the player he once was. Even the greatest of players get traded or move on, what's wrong with suggesting that we should too?

I'm not arguing the fact that he has declined. But he is not "useless" as Change so bluntly put it.

What amazes me the most is how fast we can go from good-to-great sequences to absolut, putrid effort/lack of reaction.

Can they beat new Orleans on a second night of a back to back?

Yes. The C's should be able to beat that team even without Pierce. I honestly don't think the C's are trying that much on defense tonight either. There is no reason to do so. It's pretty much an automatic loss given the circumstances.

Tonight may stink, but it's not a reflection on the larger picture.

The whole thing changes with Pierce in the lineup.

He's our best player.  Remove the best player from any team and they're going to struggle.

You've only got 5 guys on the court in basketball, so missing your top line guy has a huge impact.

What's the drop off from Pierce to Sasha?  Like a million-billion?  Is it even measurable?

So we'll take our lumps early and hope Pierce is only dinged up and not broken (you can never be sure with Ainge's injury reports).

I just wish Doc would use this opportunity to give the rookies some burn.  When Pierce and Pietrus are in the lineup there will be no minutes for them at all.

Worst defensive half this group has ever played.

Just awful.

They really should be embarrassed by the complete lack of effort on defense.

Yeah...losing is one thing. But losing like this is unacceptable.

Pietrus should make the Cs younger and more athletic. If I were the coach, I'd start him and let Ray lead the bench. Heck, if I were the coach, I'd start Bass over JO too.

39 points in the second quarter.

Simply unacceptable.

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
This game is taking away my positivity towards the rest of the season. I had started to forget why the Mia vs Bos play-off season had me feeling so down. They shut us down offensively and feast on us in transition if not they bomb us with threes off of penetration.

No way this team is a three seed. No way they can beat Miami. The window is shut and this is a farewell tour

You are calling this after the 2nd game of the season?

Without Paul Pierce or Mickael Pietrus?

Remind me to PM you before I play the lottery, lol....

  • You say when......
Remember when the celts played defense in the middle. Need help badly

Oh no. We don't need help in the middle. Its perfectly fine for teams to drive to the hoop possession after possession after possession at will! What we NEED is Chris Paul! An elite point guard. So what if we already have one of those  ;D

TP from me..but what do i know..i think a big center is a big help...but we dump them year after year...why...guards running the team......no idea.....no centers...at least we FINALLY got a rebounder in bass...

celtics look like they don't even want to be out there...except ray and rondo...i have learned tonight that boston can't play within 10 points of miami...that sasha is awful...that oneal is not a starting center and barely has a pulse...that bradley needs a ticket to the d league and that we still have no SF...

effort is just pathetic tonight.

  • Another undersized Celtic...
I don't think this team is garbage. I totally expect to see them rally in the second half and maybe even take a lead before giving it up to double digits in the final half of the 4th qtr. That's why I don't see us doing too much after the first round--we don't have the legs to play these really mentally/physically draining games and expect to come out on top. And with a noticeable lack of depth all the back to backs are going to slay us.
