Again, sorry to have to post now without listening to everyone's angle, but i gots work to do today...

(Sea/Buf): Seattle in 6

Buffalo with a decisive game 1 victory, 101-87.  Antawan Jamison with 32, feasting off Howard doubles.  However, the Allen/Gordon matchup begins to take over play in game two, with Gordon unstoppable in the final two minutes of overtime.  Gordon with 53 points.  With the series tied and Allen in a funk, the momentum swings to Seattle.  Ducan takes over the series with efficient scoring and leadership.  Braves never recover from a 3-1 series deficit.  Upset city.

(Hou/Por): Portland in 6

Heavy favorite Portland takes both home games and looks unstoppable.  However, Shaq lands awkwardly on his left foot and sprains his ankle in the 4th quarter.  With Brad Miller logging starter minutes and Quinton Ross forced to cover Randolph in spurts, Randolph goes off for 29 in game 3 and sends a shockwave through Portland.  The extra attention on Randolph in game 4 allows Bosh to mix in 25, with Johnson/Ellis combining for 49.  Game 5 is a doozy.  With Portland trailing by 11 late in the 1st quarter, Shaq stands up and tells Coach Dale "Big fella's checkin in."  Shaq ignites Portland Willis Reed style and they go off.  Pulling away and eventually cruising by Houston in big fashion.  Joe Johnson puts up big points in game 6, but it's not enough to keep Houston in stride with a rejuvinated Portland.

[Seattle is bigger, nastier, and a much deeper team than Buffalo.]

Portland in 7
[Although my heart says Houston, the head says Portland. A closer series than some might think.]

(BUF/SEA): Buffalo-in a barn burner. Buffalo's frontcourt depth gives them just the edge they need.

(POR/HOU): Portland-I think Houston can steal a couple of games here but Shaq is too relentless inside and Houston just doesn't have enough bodies to matchup overall.
Never underestimate the predictability of stupidity...

(BUF/SEA): Buffalo

(POR/HOU): Houston. Bosh's career rebounding advantage over Shaq, and Houston's advantage in team rebounding lets the Rockets get out in transition where Crotonats have no answer. Many Celticsbloggers lose their shirts betting on "the sure thing."
