I hope Stevens gets some minutes

And Brissett.  He had a good game on Friday vs. ORL, his first good game in pretty much his whole Celtics career.  Need to build on that, build some confidence.

As long as they can continue to bring intangibles I think (and hope) they can certainly continue to earn spot minutes.  There was one play where Brissett battled extremely hard (I think it was against one of the Wagner brothers) on the offensive glass and came up with the rebound based on pure effort.  IIRC he got fouled, and on the subsequent inbounding play we ended up making a 3 pointer.  It's those kinds of things that we need from them.

Absolutely.

By going 4-4 overall and 1-1 from 3 in that game on Friday, he raised his overall FG% from 17.6% to 33.3% and his 3-point % from 11.1% to 20.0%.  These are still really bad, and way below his career averages, but at least improved.  Then he didn't play a minute in the game on Sunday.

I get that the Celtics can't monkey around with the rotations too much.  They need to settle in to a solid core rotation, but Brissett has hardly gotten a chance.  Only 108 min in 11 games.  His shooting has been terrible in those 108 minutes but he has done other things, like that OReb you reference.

I think it is worth "investing" some minutes in Brissett.  If you get him dialed in and playing more like he has the rest of his career, he would be a very useful player.  Stevens is similar, but as more of a guard, we don't need him as much.

Actually, I see now that Stevens is listed as a PF and Brissett as a SF.  Not sure Stevens is really a PF.  I view him as a guard/wing and Brissett more of a forward/swing.  But it is hard to know since they play so little.  Brissett measured 6'-7", 7'-0" wingspan and Stevens 6'-5.75", 6'-9" wingspan.

Good coaching - all of them are hungry, ready, and fighting for minutes.

oh ye of little faith.

celtics will go 5-0 on this 4 game trip. they will win the four games by such HUGE and convincing margins that the nba will award them an extra win as a bonus.  ;D

I like your way of thinking!!!  TP!

I’m pretty high on both guys. They both have NBA experience and Stevens was a starter for a bit.

So no KP tonight, but we get Al. I guess we should probably expect that staggering of KP and Al on B2Bs moving forward, particularly against teams like GS and Sacramento who aren't really big and you don't need both bigs anyways.

But the plus side is that this means we get to see some more Queta, Stevens, and maybe even Brissett!

Come on, Al. You have to hit some of these shots, particularly the bunnies.
