OMG that 3rd period gave me a heart attack. What a game!

So glad we pulled off the win. Would have hated going into Columbus again this time facing elimination. With that said, I’d prefer we finish this series off Monday night  ;D

And boy Pastrnak overall has stepped up BIG time these last few games. Rask was splendid as well (some of those goals tonight were not his fault and he’s the reason the Jackets didn’t score 5-6 goals in the first two periods)

It's really great to see the B's top line producing. And these are the type of performances from Rask that a team needs to advance in the playoffs.   Of course, I've been fooled by the B's before into thinking they were the team to beat.  But it's actually starting to look like they may very well be, at least in the eastern conference.

They still got one more game. Let's hope they can close them out in Columbus. The Hurricanes are patiently waiting for them.

If B's advance I wonder how much they discuss that this would be, based on the original franchises of Boston Bruins vs New England Whalers.

Yes, I did go to New England Whalers games in the old Garden.

Sad to think that my beloved Celtics could be the team that stops Boston from completing a 4 sport slam with 4 consecutive wins in all four major sports because the Bruins should win the Cup this year. Not sure that has been done before.

It's actually just crazy that we are still in the position to win 3 or 4 titles in all four major sports within a year. There are fans who've never seen a title in their lifetime and some who have never even seen their favorite franchises in a playoffs. I'm going to keep the faith even with the C's. The B's were down 3-2 in their previous series and came back to win and advance. The Pats and Red Sox dealt with some tough moments during their postseason runs that many (even their own fanbases) thought would doom them, but persevered and ended up winning it all. But yeah, they [Celtics] HAVE to win Game 4 tomorrow night.

You mean the Hartford Whalers?

And I remember going to Bruins and Celtics games at the Hartford Civic Center, such a dumpy building (although less dumpy than the Boston Garden).

Bruins were the 2nd best team in the NHL this year. Celtics were like 9th best in the NBA. So, yeah, I think most people thought the Bruins might have been able to have a better postseason than the Celtics.

Great job by the Bs to fight back from that Columbus run in the third period and defend home ice.

Nope.  He means New England of the old WHL.  I have a banner somewhere!

Yup. Went to New England Whalers games when they played in the old Garden. I remember Gerry Cheevers was playing for the other team, so it was a big draw that night just to see him because he was still a great goalie.

I was maybe, 8 or 9 years old so, sometime around 1973 or 1974, this occurred.

I’m currently at the bruins game.. there are probably 0.5% bruins fans... it’s really intense in the building ..both teams playing really hard

Have fun!

Sucks that B's goal was called off due to stupid goalie interference.
