For all us Tacko fans, here are his highlights. He looks much more mobile on defense then earlier. But what I also saw was his offense is better. He is developing a little hook shot and now he spins around on offense.  ;D

He is developing his basketball skills, no doubt.

Only two baby Celtics in action tonight for the battling crustaceans. Waters had a good night in the Lobster victory.

Waters
37 minutes, 23 points, 11 assists, 8 rebounds, and 5 steals. He shot 9-16 and 2-6.

Langford
37 minutes, 11 points, 3 assists, and 4 rebounds. 4-11 and 1-6. But he also had 6 turnovers.

Fall and Edwards collected splinters for the Celtics tonight.
Another game, another example of Waters crushing it. Not pretty from Langford though

Waters looks to be the one actual NBA player the Celtics picked up in this draft... Langford evokes comparisons to James Young in terms of his pre-draft hype vs his actual NBA readiness.  His agent deserves double.
i disagree on your point comparing langford to young. young was timid, overmatched, and lacked any skill aside from long range shooting...which was not a skil he had.

langford you should watch his brief highlights. he plays good defense, he is very very good at slashing to the basket (think: evan turner-esque), he is a decent to good ball handler as well.

langford lacks a reliable 3 point shot, but let's see what happens with that. it is way way way way too early to be making any sort of final judgement on langford. he has played a total of 110 minutes in the nba so far.
Agreed on Romeo.  The James Young comparisons are getting ‘stale’ and not accurate now that we’ve seen him a bit more.  IDreamCeltics: He is definitely an actual NBA player and frankly I’m not sure Waters is. Romeo’s slashing style reminds me of Marquis Daniels plus he’s a much defender than Young ever was.

TP.

Would be cool if Tacko could provide us 10-15 minutes a game next year.

Another day another lobster update. Our battling crustaceans beat somebody 119 to 117.

A pair of baby Celtics played last night.

Edwards
42 minutes, 41 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists and shot 14-28 and 6-13. The star of the game.

Here are his highlights.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-B6PbE4AA1w

Waters
34 minutes, 16 points, 2 rebounds, 8 assists, 2 steals. He was way more efficient than the game before as he shot 6-11 and 2-4.

Another night means another pinching by the Fabulous Lobsters. A lopsided win  122-98.

Three baby Celtics were in the game and here are their stats.

Edwards
33 minutes, 22 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists and shot 9-18 and 3-13 three pointers.

Waters
31 minutes, 14 points, 5 rebounds, 9 assists, 2 steals. He shot 6-12 and 2-5 for three pointers.

Fall
23 minutes, 16 points, 18 rebounds, 1 assist and shot 9-10 and 0-1 FT. He is a double-double machine in Maine.

Well, last night the lovely lobsters lost as their level of play was not overly good. Sigh....against someone whom we don't know or care about really.

But on the bright side two baby Celtics were in action and here is what they did:

Waters
35 minutes, 16 points, 1 rebound, 8 assists, and 4 steals. He shot 7-19 and 0-6 from 3 point land. Not overly good.

Fall
21 minutes, 4 points, 14 rebounds, and 4 blocks. He shot 2-5 and 02 FT. Not overly good either.

For all you Tacko fans, on the season, Tacko is now averaging 13.7 points/game, 10.2 rebounds. But, he is shooting free throws at a 40.4% clip. Which is not overly.....well, you get the idea.

If Tacko can get up to a Clint Capela 52.9% it would be comforting....

Oh, and for those eager for a Tacko fix, here you go.. Scroll down a bit to the videos.

https://stats.gleague.nba.com/player/1629605/

While he still needed to operate close to the basket on offense, he has also developed a couple of offensive moves. He is getting better.

TP to hwangjini for Red Claws updates.

The smallest = Waters
The tallest = Tacko

Crunching the G league.

Fun to see Edwards highlights with 41 pts. Reminded me of last year when he was carrying Purdue!

Further Tackanalysis from posted vids.

First of all, Tacko played 118 Division one games at UCF with 10.7 ppg and 7.7 rpg. Senior year, UCF lost to Duke 76-77 in the second round of the NCAA's in a Tacko vs Zion tilt.

His summer league and early G league had flashes, but, he didn't look like he was there. I'm also unsure as to his health at that time. Maine isn't a great place in the winter for a Florida guy...it really isn't.

Last couple of months he has looked a lot better. He is playing with more force. Tomahawk jam isn't something I'd seen since he was playing in college.

His handle, although not recommended, looks good enough to get by in certain situations.

Go Tacko!

The Lobs pinched the living bejeezus out of some other team tonight, 121-83! The game was really not as close as the score would indicate.

As for the baby Celtics, both Fall and Waters saw action, though not a lot since the deep, deep bench for the Lobs saw lots of action early one.

Waters
25 minutes, 9 points, 1 rebound, 1 steal. He shot 2-6 and 0-2 from 3 point land.

Fall
22 minutes, 8 points, 12 rebounds, with 4 blocks.

Another day, another update. The lovely Lobs are back to their winning ways as they pinched  and squished the delightfully named Mad Ants, 123-119.

As for those of you who are curious about the baby Celts, here is how they did:

Fall
33 minutes, 12 points, 14 rebounds. He shot 5-9 and 1-1 FT! Baby steps on the FT. This may be the most minutes he has played for Maine. Tacko had ZERO blocks, which may the first game that has happened.

Waters
36 minutes, 22 points,  2 rebounds,  5 assists. He shot 9-16 and went 2-5 on 3 pointers. Better than his last few games.
