TRADE ANNOUNCEMENT

Shams Charania is reporting that the Indiana Pacers have acquired D'Angelo Russell and Allen Crabbe from the Brooklyn Nets in exchange for Tyreke Evans + Bojan Bogdanović and Indiana's 2020 1st Round draft pick.

http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=yaawd5xr

The Nets would like to thank both D'Angelo and Allen for their contribution to the rebuild in Brooklyn. We were thrilled to be able to send you to a top-4 team in the East where we hope you will challenge in the Eastern Conference Playoffs.

We welcome both Tyreke and Bojan to Brooklyn. We are excited to add a future draft pick and look to increase our cap flexibility, but possibly retain both players as Brooklyn becomes a top-tier team in the East.
Does the pick have any protections?

The Phoenix Suns and Minnesota Timberwolves have agreed to a deal. In the deal, the Wolves receive T.J. Warren and Josh Jackson. The Suns receive Tyus Jones, Taj Gibson, Dario Saric and a Protected 2019 First Rounder via MIN (Top-5 protected 2019, if not conveyed 2019 then Top-2 protected 2020, and if still not conveyed, then it becomes an unprotected first rounder in 2021).

The Suns would like to take the time to thank Warren and Jackson for their contributions and wish them the very best going forward. It was not an easy decision but we made it with the intent to look to the future and to get younger as a team. This deal could also give us a bit of cap flexibility going forward and additional assets.

We welcome Jones, Gibson, and Saric to the fold. We have had our eyes on Jones for a long time and we believe he will help our back court with Booker and others going forward. We are excited to work with Gibson and Saric and think Gibson's veteran experience in particular could aid our rebuild. The first rounder we received also could mean we have two first rounders coming in 2019 (or 3 if the MIL pick conveys), and we are ecstatic about the potential of adding more young, potential stars for our future.

The Minnesota Timberwolves organization thanks Taj Gibson, Tyus Jones and Dario Saric for their dedication and contributions to the organization.  We wish them well with the Suns and in their future endeavors.

We welcome T.J. Warren and Josh Jackson to the Timberwolves family.  T.J is already an established young talent and Josh is an exciting young prospect we hope to develop into a future star. We expect them to hit the ground running and join with Karl-Anthony, Andrew, Derrick and the rest of the team to drive us to our 2nd consecutive playoff appearance.

Magic still looking for picks in exchange for any assets that fringe playoff teams think can catapault them into the playoffs, and set the stage for a big FA signing in the summer!

AS per Shamwow:

Quote
This just in, Cuban spoted boarding a plane from Dallas with Barnes, Harris, DSJ and a 2021 and 2023 first round picks and then later spotted leaving Charlotte with Kemba Walker, Nic Batum and a future second rounder.

The Pilot radioed the tower telling them about how Cuban was Gloating over the now insanely dynamic wing grouping of Kemba, Brogdan and Luka and all the youth and veteran leadership surrounding the team, Fully expect to be competing for a title by as soon as 2020 with a little internal growth.

Pilot stated that Kemba and Batum were chuckling at the though of Barnes and DSJ now being in Charlotte.

Official Press conference expected at the airport."

WOJ: Michael Jordan sat down with Kemba Walker recently to discuss the future of the Hornets. Jordan was reportedly ready to put a max contract offer on the table this off-season, and Kemba would likely have accepted it. But throughout the difficult conversation, both parties came to the surprising conclusion that it would be best for the Hornets and Kemba's future if the front office could find a good situation for Kemba.

The Mavs reportedly forgot Nic Batum in Charlotte. They asked Batum to purchase a business flight to San Antonio (they plan to reimburse him), where a car picked him up and brought him to Dallas.

Are we going to get a trade machine link?

Also, any protections on the picks?

One thing I've noticed is that the teams w/o a GM are mostly the ones that are contenders, aka the ones who would go after the many rentals and/or cheaper players available lol.

The OP doesn't shows anyone listed for the Charlotte Hornets.  Does it need to be updated?
