I blasted the Chronic for the Presidential motorcade once. The Secret Service didn't seem to mind. They had it coming. They were snippy little jerks.

I hath made my decision. I got Chronic 2001, although I think the music our great great grandchildren will hear is from 8 mile. Mostly just Lose Yourself

I voted for Doggystyle, but only because I couldn't vote for more than one.  I have Doggystyle and Chronic 2001 in a tie, with the original Chronic just slightly behind.  Eminem's Encore would be a good measure behind those, this wasn't even his best album (IMHO).

8 Mile doesn't even register.

What do all these things have in common? Produced by Dre?

To be honest, I haven't listened to any of these albums in quite some time. But a quick review of the track listings I went with the original Chronic.

Pretty tough decision, the only ones I immediately dismissed were the 8 mile Soundtrack and Encore.

Why Encore?  Definitely not Eminem's best stuff.

I went with Doggystyle.  I think it's the most solid top to bottom.

Agreed, I would've picked Marshall Mathers in a heart beat.

Perhaps because it's that much more of a different sound than the other Dre produced albums? Truth be told, I don't know how much he did on Marshall Mathers.

I voted for Doggystyle.

(But I'm disappointed you didn't include)

Word.  Doggystyle is a very close second on this list...

Its a weird list (kinda like saying 'whats better: filet mignon, lobster, pizza hut meat-lovers, or a nathan's with michigan sauce? '), but I know both Dre albums and Doggystyle like the back of my hand, and I'm unfortunately very familiar with both Em productions.

1) Chronic 2001: Not as revolutionary as Chronic, but that's like saying Godfather II is not as groundbreaking as The Godfather. Godfather II is the better movie.
2) Doggystyle: All the lessons learned from the Chronic Dre poured into Doggystyle and it shows. Similar albums, but this one is just a little more evolved.
3) Chronic: Groundbreaking album in rap. The first rap album that said 'screw that underground garbage, we're takin this on our terms'.
4) Encore: Eminem's 3rd best album, and I still haven't listened to track 1 from Rehab.
5) 8-Mile Soundtrack: Lose Yourself is an amazing song. I don't care what you say. But, the second best song is 'Wanksta', which while funny to call your friends, is not all that great a song. If they would've put in the battle at the end, this might pop up above encore though (This guy's real name is Clarence, Now clarence lives with both parents, and Clarence's parents have a real good marriage)

Encore was an accident. I meant the Eminem Show. But now that I look at it I'm not going to make myself choose between The Eminem Show and MM LP.  I think MM LP might be a little overrated. Stan was awesome, but there's a huge drop off after that. Both that album and Eminem Show have very good stuff mixed with cartoonishly bad stuff

Of those 5 i have to say doggy style.

Considering I was born in 89 that's saying a lot.

The album has its own sound that ages very well.
