Pretty happy with who we ended up with
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

We could have had Teague either way.

It’s Thompson / Trade Exception vs. Turner / McDermott / #1

I still would have done the deal.

Its actually Turner/ McDermott / a 1st / 2 2nds since the c's traded two seconds for the TPE.

We can also conclude that the Cs saved a lot of money with both Turner and McBuckets having negative contracts.
Much happier not doing that trade, both from a talent and money perspective.

I think Turner is debatable, but what is negative about McDermott’s contract?

Too early to say but you can argue either way. Anyway if Thompson can’t stay healthy (because which free agent we sign can? Lol) the debate will be over.
However 8 blocks from Turner is pretty impressive despite being against the Knicks.

TT was pretty impressive on the defensive side, at times matching up against Giannis. He was also very good at setting picks and seemed to have excellent rapport with Jaylen. Myles Turner may have the sexier stats (8 blocks) but I think TT is a better fit with Boston’s style of play. His toughness is also something that we have been lacking for a long time.

This is the decisive thing for me. He shows a competitiveness and determination that Turner hasn’t. He’s been a starter on a championship team, as well.
