I wouldn't say considerable but watching him in the World Cup his upper body and quads definitely look stronger and more defined. He wasn't losing the ball as much during contact as he did last year.

It's not a huge gain ala Giannis/Porzingis so I'm just tenpering expectations for now.

Ya to be honest I would not call that considerable. It looks more like his arms are just closer to his body in the second photo. And really, I don' think he needs to add a lot of weight to get better. He needs to tighten his handle, improve his passing, cut out long twos and speed his feet up more than he needs another 20 pounds.

agreed but slow progress is good imo. Giannis took a few years to gain the weight as well, and Tatum is only entering his 3rd year
