Could the Celtics sign TA to a vet minimum deal?

Grizzlies beat writer Ronald Tillery just tweeted:

I wonder if the C's are one of the S&T's.

Very interesting.

I do wonder how that would work with Hayward, though? Could we sign Green to an offer sheet first, and then once it clears do some sort of sign and trade with Utah?

I'm not sure, because that would involve cooperation and patience that I'm not sure we'll get.

Cooperation and patience...Just remember what happened last time when a team had no cooperation and patience to send Paul George over.

Could we sign Hayward and then S&T for Green? I guess it depends on how much money Green is going to get and what the Celtics are willing to send out to match salary for a fringe starter.

  • GOT IT!!!
The Kings are screwing up the 2019 pick. It's all on the Lakers to suck next year now.

That's probably more doable than the other way around, since Green will get significantly less money. I'm not sure how S&T's work with restricted free agents or if they work any differently at all.

Yes it is, but so far they are cooperating nicely.  I personally would prefer 2 top-5 picks in 2018 than 1 top-5 in 2018 and a crap shoot in 2019 when both Philly and Sac could be a lot better.

Dang! That is a good signing. Gives GSW much more SF/PF depth. More small ball lineups!
