I think Durant did the math with some people and decided the paycut allows him to win more, which multiples his potential shoe sales. There's gotta be a weird explanation

This basically certifies warriors win the next 3 or so championships. Lebron has showed ZERO signs of taking a paycut. He advocates for pay raises and for the max to be abolished. He wanted curry be paid $400 million. He will never take a pay cut and for that greed he will pay by not winning anymore

Not necessarily. I could see Durant go elsewhere after next year. He was on a 1+1, right?
Celtics fan for life.

Lebron is an idiot personnel manager. The idea is multiple max stars surrounded by veteran role players, who take short money to win. But then he gets all buddy with his role players and gets them paid like stars until the franchise is jammed. I think Riley had the stones to stand up to Lebron better than anyone in Cleveland. Riley picked the coach too.

Players taking huge discounts foils the parity that is supposed to follow the cap/tax rules. Maybe the repeater tax will be what finally does them in.

Sam Amick confirms that Kevin Durant will be signing for $25M. Quite the discount.

Wow.

$5M less than Jrue Holiday.

Wow.

So Pritchard stupidly trades him away to the Mavericks after the 11-12 season for the awful contract of Ian Mahinmi and opts to replace him with the infamous D.J. Augustine, only to sign Collison, umm, years later and after George has been traded for peanuts, to boot?  Will he be signing Hibbert and Hansbrough, too, lol? ::) ;D What a moron.

Nope, I've got it - Gerald Green is his next target.  You know, because that worked out so well for the Pacers the first time around ::).

The Nuggets with Hill, Millsap, Jokic might be one of my favorite teams in the league now.

Re my the last tweet, I had to pause for a sec bcs Millsap is already in Denver.

This is for saltlover really, but maybe Denver re-signs Gallinari and Atlanta Millsap, and then trade them. Everybody keeps bird rights.

edit in strikethrough

> Clippers will likely part with first-round pick obtained via Houston in Paul trade. That would go to Atlanta in current framework.

Gallo trade close to completion. There goes Celtics plan D

Doc trades another young player, 2 if you count the 1st round pick, without ever playing him. Rivers refuses to develop young talent because it is hard.

There seems to be a lot of money for Guards on the wrong side of 30 this year...
